Today I would like to propose a short vintage route which I would be happy to pay a lower route price for. The main reason for this suggestion is that the line is not part of todays network following closure between 1962 and 1965. If created during the period of roughly 1960 we can see operations using first generation dmus of classes 117, 121 and 128 as well as occasional steam or early diesel freight trips. The line leaves the Great Western Main Line at West Drayton (Included in GWE) and travels around 2.5 miles north to Uxbridge Vine Street and around 4.5 miles south to Staines West. There was once also a link north of Staines West to the SWR Reading line but this came after 1960. The route north is as follows... Cowley Station Uxbridge Vine Street Station
The route south passes Thorney Mill Yard and then as follows... Colnbrook Estate Halt Colnbrook Poyle Estate Halt Poyle Halt
Good suggestion mate, hopefully because of the low mileage a bit more work could go into multiple more locos/units.
As for West Drayton Station, the current rendition would only require a few minor changes to set it to 1960s appearance being largely unchanged.
Point of note...Uxbridge trains were Headcode 2A81 with Staines trains being 2A82 with both sharing platform 5 at West Drayton.
Yes please. GWR railcars were very handsome but still happy to have 1st generation dmus instead. Depends on which era it would be set.
