Since about 30 years are Dostos mostly everywhere in germany. There is a very big variety, there aren't just five different Generations, there are also different interiors for each state. We already have Dosto07 with low entries, and some with 1. Class in the cab car and some with 1. Class in a medium car. With Hamburg-Lübeck we hopefully get Dosto07 with high entries, which would be a big difference to the other Dosto07. But there are/were lots of more Dostos in germany. Of course, you won't build everyone, but a little more variety would be nice. Please notice that the most coachs have a number like for example 747.1. To make it easier, I mostly ignore the number after the point.

Let's begin with the 1. Generation: the DR-Dostos. The DBuz(a) 749 had no toilet, the DBuz(a) 747 had some. Both coachs have only 2. Class.

The 1. Generation Cab car is the DABbuzf(a) 778, which had external indicators for the FIS and had 1. and 2. Class.

That is the most stuff from the 1. Generation, which was operating after 2010 (there are older Dostos from the Reichsbahn, but they weren't operating since about 20 years; example: the 777 Cab car). There was for example a DBuza 748, which had a very big bike area and was named "Fahrrad-Express", but I think the common coachs are more necessary.

    V-Max for all coachs is 120 km/h.

The 2. Generation also had a DR-Dosto: a new cab car, also with 1. and 2. Class. It was the DABbuzf(a) 760.

The DR-Dostos are not operating today.

For the area around munich were Dostos built with high entries, the Dosto93. That are 55 DBz(a) 750 with only 2. Class and 20 DABz(a) 755 with 1. and 2. Class (D = Dosto, A = 1. Class, B = 2. Class ...). This coachs got no cab car, they operated mostly with an n-Wagen cab car (Wittenberger Kopf). Maybe they operated later (like a few years ago) with some newer cab car from the 4th or (mostly) from the 3rd Generation.

    V-Max for the 2. Generation is 140 km/h.

The 3rd Generation has Dostos with low and some with high entries. 1994 were the Dosto94 built, that are: the DBza 751.0 with high entries, the DABza 756.0 with high entries and the DBbzfa 761.0/761.2 cab car with low entries. The 761.2 has a boarding height of 76 cm instead of 55 cm.

Also in the 3rd Generation are the Dosto95. They have only low entries and the 1. Class is in the cab car. That are: the DBpza.1 (or .2, .3, .4) and the DABpbzfa 762 cab car.

    The V-Max for the 3rd Generaion is 140 km/h.

The 4th Generation begins with Dosto97. Dostos with high entries are the DBpza 753, the DABpza 758 and the DApza 759 (notice: there is no "B", they only have 1. Class).

The Dostos with low entries are the DBpza 752, the DABpza 757, the DBpbzfa 763 cab car and the DABpbzfa 764 cab car.

There is also a Dosto 2000 cab car, the DBpbzfa 765. Picture below.

    All Dosto97 and Dosto 2000 have a V-Max of 140 or 160 km/h.

The next are Dosto03 and Dosto07, with the DBpza 780 (in TSW2 available), the DBpza 781 (high entries, hopefully with Hamburg-Lübck in future for TSW2 available), the DABpza 785 (in TSW2 available), the DABpza 786 (high entries, hopefully with Hamburg-Lübck in future for TSW2 available), the DBpbzfa 766 cab car (in TSW2 available) and the DABpbzfa 767 (in TSW2 available).

    DBpza 780.1:

    DBpza 780.3 (in TSW2 available):

DBpza 781 (likely in future in TSW2 available):

DABpza 785 (not 100% realistic in TSW2, they have the Doors from the DBpza 780.3 and that is unrealistic):

DABpza 786 (likely in future in TSW2 available):

DBpbzfa 766 (not 100% realistic in TSW2, they have the Doors from the DBpza 780.3 and that is unrealistic):

    The Dosto03 and Dosto07 have a V-Max of 160 km/h.

Please notice, that some Dostos got modernized. There is more variety between the coachs from different states.

The 5th Generation have railcars with the Twindexx Vario. The "cab cars" (official: locos) are the BR 445 or BR 446. The coachs are the DBpza 782/784 (higher boarding height), the DBpza 783 (high entries) and the DABpbza 787/789 (higher boarding height). Pictures below.

The IC2 also has Dostos from the 5th Generation. That are the DBpbzfa 668 cab car, the DBpza 682 and the DApza 687. Pictures below.

    The 5th Generation has a V-Max of 160 km/h.

Where can we use the Dostos, and with which loco?

    DR-Dostos with the DABbuzf(a) 778 or the DABbuzf(a) 760 and a DB BR 143:
    Rapid Transit until 2014.

Dosto93 with an n-Wagen cab car (Wittenberger Steuerkopf) and a BR 111:
    München-Augsburg

    Dosto94 with a BR 111:
    Rhein-Ruhr Osten (RE4)

    Dosto95 with a BR 111:
    München-Augsburg

Dosto97 with high entries with a BR 146.1:
    Köln-Aachen, Hauptstrecke Rhein-Ruhr

Dosto97 with high entries with a BR 111:
    Rhein-Ruhr Osten

Dosto97 with low entries with a BR 146.2:
    Main-Spessart Bahn

    Twindexx Vario (BR 445):
    Main-Spessart Bahn

    IC2 with a BR 146.5:
    Rhein-Ruhr Osten

The variety shown in this post here is more than we need in TSW but it shows what bothers me the most: All Dostos in the game are just from one type. In most places in Germany you'll see Dosto trains running with a low entry cab car in the front and high entry cars in the middle. The high entry cars have wider doors and better handle the flow of passengers, that's why they're the preferred choice. The low entry cars enable wheelchair and bike access to the lower storage deck.
And even the 4th generation alone has great variety in it. The 4th generation by far the most common and was produced for the longest time.

My choice it's going to be IC2 with DB BR147.5 because they're built from 2014-2020 time frame which perfectly suits these routes Ruhr Sieg Nord Rhine Ruhr Osten can also operate Main Spessart Bahn. This footage by Alexander Emmerth in German language shows DB BR 147 IC2 train in use for Main Spessart Bahn at Aschaffenburg Hbf

Ah, I forgot the IC2 on RSN in future. But MSB is wrong and RRO has the IC2 with the 146.5.
