    Hello,
since the preservation crew is planning to have a look into Main Spessart Bahn in the not so distant future,
I started to look for some bugs on this lovely route:

    1. Track roughness: MSB is by far the most rocky line you guys ever created, the train is bouncing up and down the whole time. Would be nice to have a little bit smoother ride on this main line (I really doubt DB Netze would be allowed to drive trains on such rough rails anymore)

    2. Sounds: We all know, preservation process messed with the driving sounds of varios locos all over TSW.
But the BR 146 from MSB got hit really hard by that. The Dosto seems to not have any running sounds anymore.

    3. Distant scenery: Main-Spessart Bahn is a big mainline through one of the most dense forests of Germany (the Spessart was famous for steep hills, dense forests and robbers hiding in it for a long time in the past).
Sadly the route doesn't give us that feeling after all. Especially the distant mountains look boring and nothing like a dense forest. Here maybe different textures and many more 2D trees could help (just like you did on RSN). Some mountains in view are even untextured like here:

    4. Signals: Several signal mistakes I found
4.1. Entrance Signal Aschaffenburg: Entering Aschaffenburg to track 1 used for the RB Aschaffenburg- Heigenbrücken (which actually did not use that plaform in real life, but that is a different story) is limited to 30 km/h (HP2+ZS3 "3") and activating PZB. That is correct, but the distant aspect is missing the glowing "3" on the ZS3V making th player be unaware of the PZB 500 Hz active.

    Main/Distant combi without the ZS3V showing "3":

Entrance signal suddenly showing 30 km/h limit:
Same happens in Gemünden into track 1, used by RB service Lohr-Gemünden (which I never heard of in real life)

    4.2. VSig Wiederholer in Schwarzkopftunnel:
The distant repeater inside Schwarzkopftunnel (near Heigenbrücken) only show VR0 aspects. As soon as the main signal is green, the repeater turns dark instead of showing VR2 aspect (green/yellow)
(Bug exists on both tunnel tracks)

    5. More a wish:
Please make the BR 185.2 from RSN and the BR 155 banking compatible and use it on trains that need banking, too. Right now we can only use the BR 185.2 from MSB for services that need banking.

    6.Okay, now I'm crazy:
The passenger service mode on MSB is sadly completely fictional. The trains Gemünden<->Heigenbrücken and Lohr<->Gemünden never existed in real life.
The other services you created ingame: RB Aschaffenburg<->Heigenbrücken and Aschaffenburg<->Gemünden are the same line (the later is just the longer run during afernoon peak hours) and have never been don by the BR 146 with Dosto trains (instead they used a BR 425 single unit)
The 146 with Dostos instead ran on the "Main-Spessart-Express" (RE54/55) services between Frankfurt am Main and Würzburg/Bamberg which you didn't create at all

Haha, I went over the top again (with number 6), but since I love the route since I was a little kid, that really bugs me. But I still hope, the rest was good information for you guys what you could look at ;)

Oh, and if anybody found more, feel free to add them

Thanks for posting this! I got tripped up by the first signaling error last night.

Got to agree that the ride is ridiculous. You get thrown around less on a big dipper. Also the 'cant' seems way over the top with the lean angle more like riding a motorcycle.

I find it hard not to think the civil engineering department wouldn't have placed a max 40 kph restriction on most of this line until it was completely re-laid.

Oh I completely agree with your wishes, the most important for me although are the sounds and the track roughness.

Question - is it normal that an upcoming 30 km/h speed restriction (HP2+ZS3 "3") activates a PZB 500 Hz magnet?
I think I also had the occurence happening in RRO when travelling towards Hagen - both with the RE and the S-Bahn services, and I was wondering what was causing it.

Yes, that is normal and as it should be, although often the distance speed sign is missing so you get caught a bit off guard, which is not as it should be.

Loco power sometimes just dies, can't get it moving again, is this also a known bug?

There is also RB 58 from Frankfurt, which sometimes stops at Laufach but sometimes goes on to Gemunden. Unfortunately for TSW, it's operated by HLB using BR 440s (Coradia Continentals)

The RB 58 to Laufach did not exist in the time MSB is set in (2016ish). Back then RB 58 was Frankfurt (Main) Süd to Aschaffenburg and 2016/2017 the RB Aschaffenburg-Heigenbrücken-(Gemünden) was also named RB 58 as it was already planned to scrap that "mini RB" to Heigenbrücken and instead make it a part of RB 58 Frankfurt-Laufach, after the "new" Spessart route was opened. And it used BR 425 back then. HLB took over in 2018 (slowly, as the BR 1440s didn't get delivered in time).
