Hoping I'm just an idiot and have simply missed something, but I cannot get the Vectron to appear in the Dutch module. When I looked at the layers the pop-up box says I don't own the Frankfurt Fulda route- which is false (I've made runs on it). I have both Vectron dlc (Flix and the other one). Also, I've got Dresden Riesa installed, along with the BR 155 dlc, Ruhr Sieg Nord, and the Rhein Ruhr Osten route for the added layers consists. In the Steam store it says I own all of the necessary bits, including TSW5 base. Not sure what I'm missing...any suggestions? Thanks in advance!
Have you tried to verify the game files via Steam? Also, do you have any mods installed that may need an update? And you do see the DLCs listed here:
Verification done a couple of times, the DLC's I mentioned are all checked 'on' (including the Frankfurt Fulda route, despite the pop-up box in the Dutch routes time-table selection area saying I don't have it), and no mods installed/downloaded currently.
At this point, I suggest you contact DTG support. Since you have the needed items installed, they are better suited to troubleshoot this with you. Support : Dovetail Support There is an article on the DTG support pages that could be of assistance, but this may or may not be the answer; it sounds like a download and install may not have completed properly. Steam is not downloading my recent purchase for Train Simulator : Dovetail Support
Thank you, I'll contact the DTG team. I appreciate your effort to help me unravel this weird mystery.
In the end I managed to get the Vectron to show up and was able to start the single timetable entry. DTG support was...unhelpful...in it's canned response, but not surprising given it's the weekend. I've had much better from them in the past. Anyway, I went in and re-added the DB BR101, 182, and 187. I also checked to make sure Nahverkehr Dresden route was installed. In the end, one of those triggered the key to having the Vectron appear in the playable engines list on the Dutch route. As a gentle reminder to the uninitiated, don't forget to drop the panto down so you can change the rightside desk screen from German to Dutch power (first Dutch flag), once selected, clic home on that cab desk screen. Then panto up, and close the main circuit breaker. Should be good to follow the rest of the start procedures.
Now that is odd, how these. ::Copied From above:: (DB BR101, 182, and 187, I also checked to make sure the Nahverkehr Dresden route was installed) have anything to do with the DB 193 Vectron and make it usable? It is a Frankfurt-Fulda route Loco. Or is it somehow using assets from Nahverkehr Dresden?
Thanks for the info and for confirming my thoughts, I searched and did not find any info on this, well, except DTG YT vids, is that where it was stated, Nahverkehr Dresden is needed for the tankers?
Thanks folks! The tankers from the N-Dresden route are the ones being hauled in the Dutch timetable run and as such were the missing component in getting the DB Vectron to appear on the selection list. I wasn't sure what dependencies were missing but that must be the needed DLC since the Vectron shows up now and is playable. The reason I ended up re-adding the rest of my German power was in looking for any kind of missing dependency (a chilled spine reminder of missing KUIDs in Trainz lol) which I realize was a bit daft; since the DB Vectron, along with Railpool, and Flix versions, all showed up in the training area and were playable there. Re-loading N-Dresden was a stab at replicating SGTDRE's list posted above. In the end it works.
The main thing is you got it worked out, and the last thing I would have thought, Dresden being a dependency for just the tankers, and in my searching, I did not see find info that indicated that. Either way, have fun.
