Hey I recently switched to TSW4 on the Series X from PC and i am experiencing very bad sound quality and a lot of distortion while playing. I am using a headset plugged into the Xbox controller. Is anyone experiencing similar issues. I dont have the problem on other Xbox games. I have switched the Xbox audio to uncompressed and turned off sound through HDMI. Are there any other ways to fix this problem? It is VERY immersion breaking!
Apparently they'd supposedly completely rebuild the audio for xbox. Was lot forward to this. As above, maybe a day one patch.
I really hope so, cause it is really ruining the experience for me. Especially coming from PC where the audio was really good!
It was a streaming issue - Playing on PC I haven’t had any sound issues like there was on all 3 streams. I would have refunded instantly if the sound was that bad in the release version.
Yes all the Xbox audio was rebuilt with different settings, and i've had numerous people confirm it's worlds better than it was, so i'm confused by this feedback... Matt.
yea Haven't have any issues or any reports of it. Is with and without head set. so not sure if this is happening while streaming.
TSW 5, Xbox Series X 766.2 DBpbzfa DB, Frankfurt-Fulda In general, there are short sound interruptions from time to time on all routes, as heard in the stream.
So the issues with Audio on my streams are almost certainly down to a hardware or config issue with the streaming kit - If I use the headphones locally connected to the gaming PC I don't hear those, been meaning to look at what settings I might have to influence it. Watching the video above I can't hear any issues - though I will certainly concede my hearing isn't the best. To be clear on the audio change though - this should have restored it to before the quality went bad, the xbox audio format does still introduce looping artifacts occasionally that aren't present in the source audio and there doesn't seem to be a way to influence it directly. Matt.
In the clip I was concerned with this “spaceship sound” that modulates up and down. I had hoped that this unpleasant sound would be eliminated with the update, but unfortunately this is not the case. It's quieter than before, but it still happens.
Hmm, still can't hear that - i'll get the audio team to run a spectrum analysis on the clip and see if we can "see" the issue there.
The Sound is Not the only Problem Matt Please Check This Video and Check the Right Display with the Buttons
Yeah, there's a pretty distinct sound that feels like jet engines of a passing airliner. Wrong doppler effect maybe?
But where is our fix? We deserve better on Series X that we Not have that issues only for Xbox Users.
chwaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaneeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeooooooooooooooooowwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww
DTG Matt here is a sample of the audio popping sound. Can be heard around the 9-10sec mark on the 350, and throughout on the 47.
Flickering textures had apparently been re-raised to the art team (again) Blurry textures, nothing new to report.
