    Introduction

Hello my suggestion for today is for a Victoria Line route from Brixton to Walthamstow Central as I said before this would be a great addition because of dovetails good relationship with TfL. Not only that but it would bring a new Underground route with different stations and for the first time since train sim world 2 with the bakerloo line As well as a new locomotive the currently in service London underground train The 2009 Stock.

    Rolling Stock

    2009 Stock
    upload_2024-2-24_20-58-33.png
The London Underground 2009 Stock is a type of London Underground train built by Bombardier as part of its Movia family at its Derby Litchurch Lane Works, England. A total of 47 eight-car trains have been built for the Victoria line. They entered service between July 2009and June 2011 and replaced the 1967 Tube Stock. It is the first new deep level tube stock on the Underground network since the 1996 Stock entered service on the Jubilee line in 1997.

    Train Specfication

    Constructed: 2007-2011
    Maximum Speed: 50 mph
    Train length: 133.275 meters
    Formation: 8 coaches
    Manufacturer: Bombardier

    Route Information

    Line length: 13 miles
    Time to complete: 36 minutes

    -Brixton
    -Stockwell
    -Vauxhall
    -Pimlico
    Victoria
    -Green Park
    -Oxford Circus
    -Warren Street
    -Euston
    -Kings Cross & St Pancras
    -Higbury & Islington
    -Finsbury Park
    -Seven Sisters
    -Tottenham Hale
    -Blackhorse Road
    -Walthamstow Central

    Conclusion

I think having another Underground route in the game would be great especially with a new route and locomotive which adds vartiy including new stations to the game and given the amazing relationship that Dovetail has with TfL I can see this being a no brainer and I can't see this taking too much effort to make.

    Thanks for reading

The Victoria line is fully underground (so no scenery) and fully Automatic Train Operated since it opened. It's a no.

    A) You didn't have to reply to this. Just because it doesn't interest you does not mean it does not interest others.

    B) In what way is it pointless, apart from you finding it boring?

Surely the point of posting is a suggestion is to get a cross section of views?

And once again we seem to have wannabee moderators popping up.

A line running entirely underground with ATO where the operator (not even a driver) pushes a button to release and close the doors is about as exciting as Call The Midwife.

The Glasgow Subway in TSC has ATO simulated and is majority underground, despite this it's a great little route. Something similar, such as the Victoria Line, with the added benefit of a 24 hour timetable, might just be ok. Having the option to feature both the 1967 and 2009 stock adds more interest too.

I agree I personally think we will see more TfL routes coming I'm very excited for goblin line but I think that there will be more TfL stuff beyond that and a Glasgow subway route in tfw would be awesome

Could have put across the view that you would prefer it set before ATO. Surely that's a better way of voicing your views rather than saying "pointless and boring" without giving context.

Would love to see this with the 1967 Stock! Fun fact - the Victoria Line tunnels and platforms are the largest of any deep-level tube line, therefore any deep-level rolling stock is able to be accommodated for on the Victoria Line. That means potential fun runs with the 1972 Stock or even the 1938 Stock :)

I'd like to hope there is more LU content to come, it's been 2 games and 4 years on since the release of TSW2's Bakerloo Line. They did a good job for a first of it's kind route and many of us hoped this was a start to completing the 'London Underground project' though at this rate I may have to create my own game and do it myself ;)

I mean it's not LU but the upcoming overground route is definitely a promising sign for more TfL stuff down the line including LU

Yes, it's all part of the same family and stock I see frequently in reality, therefore I'm glad :) The TFL License is promising too

Surely the Victoria Line has always been ATO? One of the first lines to receive it with the 1967 stock when it opened. Crikey that’s a long time ago. I was 6!!

Has it? I thought ATO was a modern invention (modern as in the last 20 years).

It would be great if you could create your own game. I would most certainly purchase it. Matt said that he would like to do an underground route but DTG have nothing planned so far.

Victoria line has NEVER been manually driven (except in emergencies and the depot) - it was one of the first ATO lines in the world and has been Automated with a operator supervising since day 1 - the tech wasn't yet there for unattended operation, that didn't happen for another 15 years.

Don’t misunderstand,I would like to see another tube line in TSW. Either the Northern Line with its multiple routing and service possibilities, when the 1959 and 1972 stock ran side by side, or the Central Line when you could still get out to Ongar. Nice pub crawl there on a sunny evening in 1980!

How They Dug the Victoria Line made in the 1960s is a really good documentary and worth watching. It shows the testing of the automated system.

Whats the point of doing a full length route in a tunnel? Pointless imo.
If DTG what another tube line do one that at least is outside for some of its journey!

Are you planning on creating one and would you just base it on the London Underground only?

Can't say much as it's a personal project and it hasn't fully taken off yet but it would only be based on the London Underground at first, then once all the routes have been covered I'd consider making the South London Metro Lines operated by Southern, the former South West Trains, etc.
