I request that you make another line, the overground north line, Victoria, Metropolitan, Northern and Jubilee Line. (LONDON) and if you guys approve this and start developing on these.
And the Victoria Line has been suggested previously to almost immediately be pointed out it’s an ATO operated line so completely boring from the driving point of view, not to mention apart from the depot completely underground.
I was thinking the same but as the piccedilly line instead of victoria as its an old train and they have a better getting started now before they bring out the newer trains
They are all brilliant routes but your suggestion does need more detail to make it more enticing for people who do not know these routes
We need some more Underground routes. The majority of people prefer routes that drive in manual meaning that picadilly is perfect
It offers a lot of variation meaning that the route would not get boring unlike a lot of the routes in the train sim world franchise.c
As regards Victoria Line, wellI bought Glasgow Subway for TSC in the big sale which in some ways is an echo of what you would get on the Victoria Line. Only the depot open to the air, manual driving to the first station but then if you want to keep time really have to use the ATO. So, open doors wait for station duties to complete, push ATO button, rinse and repeat. Now the Glasgow route happens to be nicely done and a bit quirky, also has a rather excellent sound set for the train and track noise. But replay value is very limited once you go round a few times and I fear Victoria line or any other ATO tube route would suffer the same limitation.
Bakerloo was something of a novelty and part of a bundle. It's OK to drive once in a while but the repetitive nature of the route gets to me even during a service. My recollection of traveling on the Tube is that most of it looks pretty much like Bakerloo. A bus journey, darkness punctuated by copycat stations, little service variation and very tedious. Unless a subway route includes substantial above ground sections or is at least cut and cover, I wouldn't be interested, whether it's in London, New York or someplace else.
What I meant was why don't we get more lines other than the bakerloo line because no other high quality train sim game has these lines, so it will prob sell better, as everyone are looking for different lines
In addition to that, we can also have a Manual and ATO mode for people who want to drive it manually or ATO, It would be sold so fast as almost everyone are looking for these lines, but openBVE can be glitchy, and the graphics are... Not the best. The most people are looking for at the moment is Victoria as no other game has it yet.
More known is the Metropolitan Line since JT made it for TSC as seen in their list and they can remake it for TSW 4
Dullest traditional tube line in my opinion. I just don't get people's obsession with sitting in a tunnel for several hours. Why not just go back and forth between Elephant & Castle and Queen's Park and pretend it's the Victoria Line. At least you'll get a few minutes outdoors.
I think it would be an easy Underground project for DTG. It would definitely not be my dream route but I would purchase any London Underground content.
Why I think the Victoria line is a good choice is that: 1. As you said it's easy to make 2. It connects Victoria, Euston and St. Pancras so travelling between the stations by Tube is a bit more fun than teleporting straight away (Plus you can switch to the Bakerloo Line at Oxford circus and reach Paddington that way as well, it would also service Highbury & Islington where you'd be able to switch to the upcoming Overground Mildway Line and the Suffragette Line at Blackhorse Road). In fact that means bar Great Western Express (accessible via a switch to the Bakerloo Line) every single Route servicing London (existing and upcoming) crosses paths with the Victoria Line. 3. It's a Tube line what do you want more? xD
Third point can not be more true. I love the idea in the second point and the first point is well elaborated. Thanks for providing my detail for other users as it might help and hope that this route will feature shortly
I agree on point 3, but honestly there are much better Tube lines. The Victoria Line is an awful choice for the reasons already given, it's completely underground and has been fully ATO since it opened.
I'm always advocating for more Underground routes but even I think that the Victoria Line (along with the Waterloo and City Line of course) would be the worst Underground route to add. There is no era where it can be set when it doesn't use ATO, and I agree that sitting in tunnels can get boring. I personally think a sub-surface line should be next, but if it must be a deep-level tube line then any of the others would be better choices in my opinion. Every other Underground route could be set in a time period without ATO and in an era when it is still modern and looks like it does today.
I do like the idea of ATO. However I agree with you on the Victoria line. Probably not the best along with Waterloo and City Line however I would still take it as I have been desperate for a new London Underground route for a very long time so I would appreciate any of those options. However, my personal favourites would be the Central, district and Metropolitan lines. Picadilly and Northern would also be strong contenders. I love all of the London Underground so it would all be greatly appreciated and well worth the day 1 purchase
Yep I think the Metropolitan line should be next, but if I had to pick a deep level tube line I'd go with the Central line. Although I would still buy anything TfL related in the game.
I am the same as you. TFL content is by far the best. Central line would be my favourite however all TFL content would be valued
My heart says District Line (I grew up traveling on R and CO/CP stock, watching Class 302s race by on the LTS) but my head says Metropolitan Line. It would include some of the first section of the London Underground, it has a nice rural to city centre environment, massive variety in services, some challenging aspects such as constantly changing speed limits underground, good fast run through suburbia, then the steep climb up into The Chiltern Hills. Day 1 purchase. The S Stock is a nice train to drive, one handle but lots of tricky safety features that keep you busy and we also have Class 166s for national rail services between Wembley and Amersham.
Merry Christmas to everyone in the community and to the members of staff at DTG. I would be enticed by any London Underground line and I agree that the Metropolitan line seems the most likely. It would be amazing aswell. I think that the Hammersmith and City lines along with the Picadilly line are the most likely.
