Video Capturing

Discussion in 'Technical Reports' started by dangerousdave, Nov 21, 2021.

  1. I don't know what's going on with TS now but every time start any kind of video capturing, TS crashes! 32 and 64 bit. Every other game I play even TSW don't have this problem.

What capture tool are you using? I have been using OBS Studio and captures using TS2022 64-bit work fine for 1920x1080 full screen. One thing to try is if you are using windowed mode, try capturing full-screen mode, or vice-versa. Or try a test run at a lower resolution.

  3. Hi thanks for the reply. The main one i was using is action video capture. It was working fine in 4k capture. but now i start the app and try to run TS and the game crashes when i launch it, the same old out of memory error. i cant even get to loading a route, ive tried changing the capture quality, resolution every thing but eveytime i launch TS it crashes with the out of memory error. i tried a couple of other capture apps but TS crashes as soon as i start recording. Its currently in full screen mode, I will try windowed mode and have a look at obs studio also.

    Thanks.

There's also the X-Box game bar built in to Windows. You can bring it up for with Windows+G to set paths and so on and start and stop recording with Windows+Alt+R. It only works with full-screen programs mind.

  5. Yea thanks. I've already tried that but the capture quality isn't that good. I liked action because it captured in 4k 60fps.

    Thanks.

Best advice is to buy a capture card.

Did you really have to bump a year old thread to say that?

YES, since the option of using a capture card hasn’t been mentioned in this thread, and since this forum is searchable, it could be valuable info for a future member.

And that, while it obviously irked you, is why replying in old threads sometimes makes sense.
