Train Sim World is a great game, thanks to the features that have been added in recent years. But sometimes, as a player, I get the feeling that there is still room for improvement here. The quality of the game is good. Only In many cases a lack of optimization lets it down.

Switching from Unreal Engine to UE5 might still be an impossible step. However, adjustments can be made to give the visual effects a more nature appearance. Like something along the lines of Real-Time Global Illumination in Unreal Engine 4, if it hasn't already been implemented.

The updates that have been implemented over the years are a nice addition. Sometimes, it seems exactly as if everything has just become brighter.

    Number of core elements

    - Volumetric Lighting
    - Ambient Occlusion
    - Global Illumination
    - Ray Tracing
    - Focus mode (Depth of Field)
    - Motion Blur
    - Color Grading
    - Screen Space Reflections
    - Procedural Skyboxes

Added game features as Volumetric fog and the Volumetric Skies/Lighting (TODv4) have made it better, although there is still room for innovation.. Bringing it closer to an environment that fully immerses you as a player in the world you find yourself in.

Ideally would be. A fundamentally implementing so the effect is not excluded from previous routes.

Without any doubt, TOD 4 lighting was a serious improvement, but sometimes it looks quite poor. I think there is still room for improvement there, because it doesn't always pick up on weather conditions well. One time it's too dark, and the next time it's too light and if you look in the wrong direction, it sometimes really doesn't look very good. I don't think it's all bad, but mainly how you experience it as a player.

(The Grand Theft Auto Trilogy is a perfect example of how it changed after the updates.)

They have no staf available to improve the game in any way. The issues with this game are endless so don't expect such changes anytime soon.

i’m not really sure what the point of this thread is. you’ve basically just said ‘improve the lighting’ and added some photos of the real world

True, I should have been more specific here. I just made a few additions to strengthen the idea a bit more.

I should have described the substantiation better, which isn't really easy without knowledge of game development. What I mainly wanted to emphasize is for a solution somewhere to improve the graphics and visual effects on the same game engine (UE4).

I understand what you’re saying, but the game has simply reached its limit. If a new game version does release this year, then updating the current game would be much fairer, because there really isn’t any room left for features that increase average system load. Things like volumetric lighting also cost quite a bit of FPS, and what DTG needs to do is drastically reduce overall resource usage.I genuinely think releasing TSW7 is going to be a difficult step. They will need to deliver a major performance upgrade to justify launching a new game. It’s impossible to sell console players a new version if it still has the same issues as TSW6, while expecting them to pay full price again.
