I've been interested in buying a VR headset for quite some time now. Today my wife and I went to a planetarium and I thought that that would be even more awesome in VR. The thing is, that I do not know which one to get. I don't know what is a standard and what is not. I want to connect it to my PC to play games and watch VR videos (like those in the planetarium). Basically just as a display. I do not need it to be wireless or have an extra store. I don't need it to have speakers. I do have a surround system. There seem to be many headsets which require me to register to some kind of service (at least create an account). I don't want that, if it is avoidable. As I said, I just need it to be a display. Obviously I do need some controllers with it to be able to play something like half life alyx. Do you guys have some suggestions. Sorry if some stuff is confusing English isn't my native language. I'll try to explain it in another way, if necessary. Thank you in advance.
