I know I'm not the only one struggling with this but I have had 40-50 goes to win the elite qualifying predator comp. I am fishing with two dead baits - tried all 3 and a swim bait - perch and others. So I have 2 sonik s3 carp rods with xtractor 5000 reels ridge monkey fluorocarbon 20lb line and dark matter 2 rig plus vursa baitcaster concept z reel haichou mono mainline 12lb for the swim bait. You need 175" to win and the best I've got is 110". This event is literally driving me nuts as I've won every other event. Please help!
I think the only thing you can do to improve your results is by selecting the best lure for the conditions and finding a hot spot. Also I have a poblem at catching a single predator in european spots. Can you give me a tip on catching anything more than a 2lb perch, 3lb zander and a 5lb pike after 3 hours of fishing? Even dead baits aren't working at this point (at least for me) thanks.
