Waving

OK, so a fun one I Hope haha. Basically in real life when trains pass each other the drivers will give a little wave to each other, same with coach and lorry drivers etc etc. So am I the only one when playing the games will give a little wave to the AI trains passing me? Or do others do it

 

I'll own up. I do this too!

 

I don’t wave but I’ll give them a quick toot on the horn.

This is probably quite wrong as I mostly play German routes and as I understand it unnecessary use of the horn is forbidden.

But these AI drivers go through a lot what with passengers appearing on the line. Having to drive with the wrong or even no lights etc. A bit of friendlyness toward them doesn’t hurt

 

I give them a little toot sometimes, within tooting hours of course.

Yes I must admit it is quite a natural reaction for me and after doing it I often chuckle at the fact I have just waved at a computer screen!

I'll give the AI a quick honk or two. I would love it if a honk-back was implemented.

CTA train and bus drivers seem to wave or honk at each other according to whim, so the rule here may just be operator's choice.

 

Guilty as charged. Started doing it as a little joke and now it's become a habit I simply can't shake off
