Birmingham - Manchester would be a good route choice for a west coast route for a number of reasons. It has a similar route length to ECML: Peterborough - Doncaster and offers a good selection of trains for AI, services, and layers. Route length: 85 miles Stations: 24 Base layer trains: Class 390, 350, and 66. Major stations: Birmingham N Street, Stafford, Crewe, Stockport, Manchester Piccadilly. Possible playable layers: NT 323 Crewe - Piccadilly, EMR 158 Stockport - Piccadilly, Rail tours. Possible AI layers: WMR 323 BCC, NT 323 Stoke - Piccadilly, MAN Airport - Liverpool L Street, Hadfield - Piccadilly. A lot of time can be saved due to the fact that Birmingham and Manchester already have station models in the game. Possible service Patterns: Class 390: Manchester - London via Stoke, player terminating at Stockport. -Manchester - London via Crewe (to Birmingham) Class 350: Birmingham - Crewe via Wolverhampton & Stafford. Class 66: freight between Crewe, Manchester towards Trafford Park. Points of interest: Canals of Birmingham, Manchester corridor.
Fantastic bring it on or if you got pc you could make it yourself in Upcoming pc editor if you got one then sell it everyone as dlc
Now that's the best suggestion I've seen so far, i really hope it comes to tsw4 or if someone could make it as I'd love to see the class 390s in game.
Time to bring it in basically you got a portion of the Missing Link in train simulator Classic route Speaking of this You can also do 390 350 92, 390 350 90 locomotives and lastly 390 350 66 and 92 DLC Class 86 That way you have Class 92 action like this Also Crewe Basford Hall is an electric locomotive Depot With Class 66 you didn't fill Basford Hall yard tracks
Don’t forget the class 220/221! Only train that would run the full route. Understanding about licensing issues with XC on the other hand
Not sure if you can in TSW but in Train Simulator you can build your own routes with the right tools. I am guessing you only be able to do this with a PC and not the games consoles
Would love to see a voyager on here, and dependent on the era it is set in could we even see some Avanti 805s? Be good to get in some 45/47 rail tours too, and maybe the ROG 37 could have some movements? Not sure if the 350 coupler is compatible with the ROG one though.
Me too - but if the 801 -> 805 conversion isn't too difficult it would be nice to see this too. Not in place of a voyager or pendolino of course.
I think an 805 would be more likely to be honest, they aren’t that different from an 801 in most aspects so it’d be much easier for DTG to make.
Would love to see this in game and this is more realistic and achievable in terms of it actually coming to tsw4. And obviously with this route a voyager and pendolino is a must have.
This is one of the best WCML suggestions so far- covering 4 major areas and adding AI to the X City Line, Bakerloo, Glossop, Cathcart AND Edinburgh-Glasgow. All whilst not being a huge undertaking for Dovetail with either masses of stock or sheer route lengh. Like I say, a great suggestion.
