Route code (G-BB-R7-05 In this suggestion, I am suggesting the WCML Scotland part from Carlisle to Glasgow Central & Edinburgh Waverley with the Shotts Line included too set in the Avanti West Coast time period. Included operators should be Avanti West Coast and ScotRail (returning for the third time). Stations (Glasgow Branch): Glasgow Central High Level Rutherglen Cambuslang Newton (AI only?) Uddingston Bellshill Motherwell Holytown Shieldmuir Wishaw Carluke Lanark (branches off from Carluke) Edinburgh Branch: Edinburgh Waverley Haymarket Slateford Kingsknowe Wester Hailes Curriehill Kirknewton Edinburgh Glasgow via Holytown connection: (See more on layers) Livingston South West Calder Addiewell Breich Fauldhouse Shotts Hartwood Cleland Carfin Main WCML: Carstairs Lockerbie Carlisle Rolling Stock: Included stock: Class 390 AWC Class 318 SCR Class 320 SCR Class 385 SCR All stock will feature AP sounds. Layers (requires other DLCs) Class 66 + FKA Wagons (GWE) Class 66 + JNA / MFA Wagons (SEHS) Railtour (TBC) Potential Loco DLC Class 397 TPE Class 88 DRS Class 92 + Mark 5 CDN What's your take on this route?
I've got fond memories of the WCML North add-on for TSC, running from Glasgow to Carlisle. Especially if it's set in the era with Intercity Swallow liveries. Would love to see that.
I would love to see the class 88 as one of the main trains. Either that or the TPE Class 397. It would be great to also see the scotrail class 380 added instead of the class 385, this route would be perfect for it.
The 380 is best suited for something like the Glasgow to Ayr route but the 380 could sub the rolling stock I chose for this suggestion. The Glasgow to Edinburgh via Shotts primarily uses 385/0s while the Lanark service uses 318s and 320s primarily from what I know. Besides the 385 for this suggestion would be having a major sound update with audio from the AP IET soundest with the doors and horn sounds remaining.
Excellent idea overall and if I were you make it as the following Standard Trains 390 Avanti West Coast 318 & 320 Scotrail Class 92 locomotive for Caledonian Sleeper trains and freight Layered in Class 385/0 385/1 from Glasgow Queen Street to Edinburgh Waverly via Falkirk High Possibly 314 GCC Huddersfield Line NTP or Derwent Valley Line 1963 Railtours SEHS RHTT DLC Class 66 with working panel DLC Class 88 90 Mail Train 325 397 Retro Class 370 APT Class 86 & 87 locomotives
Good suggestion, a good and interesting route, also includes the class 390 that can fill in a lot of those empty stations as AI.
I chose the 385 as an included train because of the Shotts Line which primarily uses them. And the Class 92 Caledonian Sleeper is best as a loco dlc because of other WCML potential routes.
OK then and are you saying remake the class 385 so that we can compare DTG version with Rivet Version? Best example of this is the Tees Valley Line Class 37/5 DTG made over the Rivet Games Cornish Main Line 37/5
