Introduction: This add-on would include 3 brand new trains for the west coast mainline. With 2 multiple units, and a locomotive. The stock: Class 319 The class 319 is a 4 car, dual voltage electric multiple unit, which operated services on the west coast mainline until fairly recently. These EMUs are powered by 4 GEC G315BZ brush traction motors, giving a total power output of 1330 horsepower. They have a top speed of 100mph, and would certainly be able to reach that speed on the route. 2 liveries would be included. Which would be the Ex London midland livery, and an ex-thameslink livery. Ex-LM Ex-TL Class 221 "super voyager" The class 221 is a 5 car diesel-electric multiple unit which was in operation with avanti west coast until fairly recently. Probably one of the most requested trains, the voyagers operated alongside the class 390s for over 20 years. Like the pendolinos, they also have an ability to tilt, even though it is not as pronounced as the 390s. They are powered by 5 cummins QSK19-R, with one in each coach. Giving these units a total of 7500 horsepower. With an additional 4700 horsepower from their Onix 800 IGBT traction motors. Like the 390s, they are able to reach 125mph, and would operate services to places such as Holyhead, Glasgow, Manchester etc. The voyager would also layer to routes like BCC, Cathcart circle, Edinburgh glasgow and more. They would be in their avanti west coast livery. Class 90 "skoda" The class 90 is an electric locomotive which operated freight services on the WCML, They are powered by 4 GEC 412/BZ 4 GEC G-412CY traction motors. Giving them a total power output of 1250HP, and a top speed of 110mph. The class 90 is derived from the class 87, which is currently planned for the west coast mainline: over shap by Just trains. The class 90 would appear in a freightliner livery, operating across the whole of the west coast mainline, and layering to routes like East coast mainline, Cathcart circle etc. Overall: A loco bundle like this would bring a bit of extra life to west coast mainline. As well as bringing some well requested traction to train sim world.
The class 221 would definitely be a nice addition to WCML and would have a good size of layers for other routes. As for the 319, this would be good to see and would be great if it was added as additional static stock at Wembley Yard as well.
