Hi. Because the temperature in game during winter seems to be always below 0 degrees it always snows when precipitation is activated. This isn't true to the real world (not here in the UK anyway). Some winter rain would be good for authenticity! After playing TSW for the last few years, I'm not aware that you can change the temperature yourself other than choosing a different time of year. Maybe a future tweak?
It would be good if the dynamic weather system could be updated to use a random, appropriate range of temperatures for each month as I agree, it does snow too much in winter (and doesn't rain at all).
Yes, this this quite an annoying one personally, I have the season set to November as it seems to vary much more between rain or snow and still gets dark earlyish.
Also, some presets with snow level for winter and dynamic weather would be nice. Right now if you want to have dynamic weather active and start the ride with some snow level you can only choose to start with Light Snow or Snow Storm, other present have 0 (zero) snow level.
This is just another TSW feature that was added to say it was there for marketing purposes, but is actually incredibly simplistic and hasn’t been touched since the day it was introduced. If you’re on PC GodMode is your friend.
An option to adjust the rate of which the weather changes would also be beneficial, as over half of my drives with dynamic weather seemingly end up with snow cover over all the scenery by the end. It never snows that much in the UK in real life!
The snow is also accumulating way to fast and that also needs adjustment. Two or three minutes is enough to cover all scenery from 0 to fully snowed even if you start with just light snow precipation.
same with clouds in Winter : clear, light clouds and all the rest is storm. Where is the overcast but no rain/snow?
Driving the WSR on the first timetabled service of the day last night taking a Whistler from Williton to Minehead saw some very heavy fog and mist (looked great on the PS5) before Minehead itself was blanketed in snow
Yep the snow issue is frustrating at times. Along with fog, you can be driving along in clear blue skies and then boom it's suddenly thick fog or a blizzard, drive along for a few minutes more and then boom clear skies.
Disable dynamic weather and if you’re on PC, use GodMode to change the temperature as well as tweak the weather to your personal liking. I always set the weather custom with GodMode to match whatever the real world weather is for where I am in TSW4.
This is why I use custom weather, or set the date to a point when it doesn't snow (the actual date is between some randomised point in November and February).
