Hello folks - one top of our Boston stream next week, I want to announce an upcoming special stream, hosted by one of our Dovetail members, Rob Powell, as he'll be streaming every day from tomorrow until Tuesday next week, for his recent birthday and raising money for the CALM charity. Four days to celebrate four decades, 40 hours of streaming for 40 years of his life!

Please note, this will not be streamed on the Dovetail channels, and instead will be on Rob's personal account. See links below.

    Key Details:

    Event Summary:
Rob: "It's that time of the year again. Birthdays always seem to come around so quickly. Every year for the past 5 years, I have dedicated the weekend directly before or after my Birthday to streaming for charity as I like to take the opportunity to raise money for good causes and to give back to the community.

This year is no different; however, rather than giving over two days, this year, I will be giving over four—four days for four decades, 40 hours for 40 years.

My chosen charity this year is again one of the charities that DTG is supporting: CALM (Campaign Against Living Miserably).

This is a cause close to my heart. I am a survivor, thanks to the kindness of family and friends and the due diligence of the staff at my local hospital. If you had asked me at 19 years old if I would see my 40th birthday, I'm not sure I could have given you a definitive yes, but here we are, four decades of life on his planet and doing something not many can say: working in a dream job surrounded by a close-knit circle of friends and family and enjoying life.

CALM aims to prevent suicide by helping people through their misery and pain. They offer trusted tools designed to help people in a practical way with their mental health and campaign to ensure that all people have the tools to help prevent and unite against suicide.

The work they have been doing since 2005 is invaluable, and any money raised will greatly help their cause to prevent suicides, especially in men.

Over the 4 days, I will be looking at some of my favourite content in Train Sim World while chatting with the community and generally having a good time. After all, it is a celebration of my life (what with turning 40 and all that jazz) and helping a charity help others who are in dark places.

I hope to see you there!"
