So this is on one of the legacy routes (NTP).
Driving east from Manchester towards Huddersfield (into the sunrise) I am getting a moving shadowed area which seems to project out about 100 feet or so from the front of the train. Picture below shows the effect (should probably have done a video capture). However it is totally odd and wrong. The shadow is casting across track and terrain that is otherwise in bright sunlight and moving with the train. Travelling the direction I am into the sun, there should be no shadow from the train cast ahead at all.

Where the shadow is now, a few seconds ago the track and terrain were fully illuminated.

Looks like yet another graphics anomaly in this increasingly absurd version of TSW.

Okay looks like this is what happens when you turn Shadows to low in settings.
Turned up to medium and now showing correctly - appears "low" reduces the distance at which shadows are cast rather than the quality. But it is odd, given shadows are one of the first items people tone down to boost performance.
Although that said, even on medium the weird effect is still there now I've driven a little more - just a bit further ahead of the train.
