After Watching the Railfan Fest last night and the night before, i must say it was very well presented, and all the enthusiasm was great. Special congrats to JD as this was his first main event, he did great! Please pass on my thanks to all the others involved in, I loved every Minute of it!
Quiz would have worked better had latency not been such a big factor, but we got a contest out of it so that's something. Lessons were learned.
While not the most ideal of solutions, I lowered the stream quality on Twitch to 360p to stop the buffering. I was still able to read the questions in potato vision. Definitely want to see more stuff like the quiz in future. The Railfest was a great time all round
I missed that we would have this quiz, so i joined in about halfway. Next time make some big poohah about it
Agreed, I very much enjoyed the weekend. As my rail fandom is more about the game then the IRL stuff, I found the behind the scene features (build a route/build a loco) very very interesting. But the absolute no. 1 would be the Quiz. I was terrible, but enjoyed it very much. Hope a quiz like that can be organized more often. During the Tom Connell feature, he said he was giving DTG one of his drawings for the Railfan fest. Maybe that could be a nice price for the quiz winner? As I said in the stream chat, again my thanks to everyone in DTG who made this possible. I can only imagine how much work it was to get it all on the rails
