With the release of WSR and add ons today, I would like to say well done to all who have worked to bring us this content. Although there are a few minor issues here and there, the fact that I can throw various of my British collection down various routes with the immense fun that ensues. This game is getting better all the time and my only quibble is that there aren't enough hours in the day. I look forward to the proposed developments which I'm sure will bring even more fun.
Keep it up DTG and 3rd parties.

Gotta say, I am taking the BR Class 52 Western down to Eastbourne in a light spring rain and it really does look phenomenal. Finally getting this thing up to a decent speed too feels amazing, and that all the clutter and splutter from the engine is wonderful!

I think I will. I would like to one day, have examples of all British stock with a TOPS class number. Probably something like 350-400 or so different types.

The 52 certainly shifts. Nice to finally take it faster than 25mph. It just wants to fly.

I struggled to get the Western past 80mph on a run on koln Aachen. The 33 and 47 can easily hit 100mph but not the 52!!

I really was pleasantly surprised when I saw how much preserved content we were getting today along with a brand new route. If DTG was looking to make us happy today then they did a good job. Good on them.

I agree they did well to get a nice amount of content out of the door, and I've been enjoying RRO quite a lot. But, I won't be putting up the bunting just yet until the issues are solved.

The Hydraulic (automatic) transmission is a direct drive from the engines and was only rated for 90mph. The 33 and 47 use electric motors driven via generators by the engine and are often capable of higher top speed. Neither were officially rated for 100mph running with the 33 at 85mph and the 47 at 95mph.

Well aware of their respective transmissions and officially rated speeds, thank you. The 52 I've actually had over 100mph on West Somerset, I'm just unable to replicate it in scenario planner on koln Aachen.

I couldn't quite get it any faster than 82mph on ECW.
