This will probably never happen but anyways. Welsh Coal Commuter! This would be a line that would have freight and passenger services in an era we’ve never seen the 1920s. Welsh Coal Commuter would be a passenger and freight route taking place in south wales specifically south east wales where coal traffic boomed. Freight side of the route would start at Cardiff Docks where shipments of coal and steel and other stuff would be hauled from to places along the Rhymney Line and its branches to various coal mines such as Cwmbargoed or the random Bargoed line. The passenger side would start at Cardiff central to Rhymney following the Rhymney line, the only double tracked valley line remaining to this day. Engines for the route would be the 5700 pannier for basically everything the 2800 for long freight services and the workhorse of wales, the 5600 on again everything and maybe a little shunter for Cardiff docks and just a little cosmetic thing for mastery a castle could be Idle or going in and out of Cardiff on timetable mode. The route would ideally take place in 1925 with all old and forgotten stations like Caerphilly tunnel station. The route would be made by JT (because they are superior) and would cost the usual £30, I don’t like it but oh well the prices aren’t going lower. With this route it would have no diesels or electrics, no BR LOVE and take place before nationalisation something that dovetail seems to be allergic to. Also maybe as a mastery award some 5600 could have Rhymney numbers because they just 5600s. Also all the steam engines would be layerable to WSR.
