The route: This section of the WCML spans between glasgow central, and carlisle just south of the border. The total length of the route would be around 102 miles, (Excluding potential branches added). The majority of services would be express services running non-stop from glasgow to carlisle, although some services would additionally call at a few extra stations. The route runs on AC overhead electrification along its full length, being operated almost entirely by electric stock. The stock: This route would have plenty of opportunity of trains to be added in, between layers, dlc and stock included in the base route. Base route (included on release) class 390 "Pendolino" The class 390 is a 9 or 11 car AC electric multiple unit with a top speed of 125mph (capable of 140) The pendolino would be the main selling point of the route, and would operate express services from glasgow central to carlisle (bound for London euston). It would have plenty of layers, layering onto Edinburgh-Glasgow at Waverley, Cathcart circle at glasgow central as A.I, BCC at Birmingham new st, Glossop line at manchester Piccadilly, and the WCML section on the bakerloo line. Layers (added from other routes) Class 385 The class 385 would run 3 or 6 car services to Lanark, calling at all stations, and 3 or 6 car services to Edinburgh (stopping at bellshill) only calling at uddingston New announcements could be included for the new stations as well. Class 66 The class 66 would layer from Sehs and run freight from mossend down yard, and Carlisle. As well as appearing as static in Carlisle kingmore. There would also be a few A.I services going from Carlisle onto the GSW line at annan jn. Railtours Additionally, There could also be railtours operating express down to Carlisle, bound for Crewe. Potential future DLC (possibly added in future) Class 397 "civity" The class 397 is an AC electric multiple unit with a top speed of 125mph, it would operate services to and from glasgow to manchester airport, and preston. Calling at motherwell, and sometimes lockerbie. It would also layer onto the glossop line as A.I services for manchester airport. Class 221 "voyager" The class 221 is a 5 car diesel multiple unit with a top speed of 125mph, which would operate occasional services in place of the class 390s. And would have the same layers as well.

Platforms: 2 Bellshill: This station would be served by services to and from Lanark, and would see services to Edinburgh branch off. Platforms: 2 Motherwell: Motherwell would be served by services to and from Lanark, Transpennine express, and sometimes avanti west coast. Love the suggestion! Well done! Would love to see this route as well but I think dtg probably won't make It anytime soon sadly. You never know tho. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Really excellent suggestion however you are missing the electric locomotives Classes 90 & 92 which are typically used for freight services and sleeper train runs up here. The correct distance for this one is 102 Mi 18 ch as seen on TSC and Railmiles distance calculator
Better set in the loco hauled era like the TSC version, Class 86 and 87 so we can master the tap changer. Sadly probably too long for DTG to consider in TSW and there are no really logical points where you could build a portion of the section (Glasgow to Lockerbie, or Carlisle to Carstairs).
Is that the route where people get stuck on Class 86 & 87 locos due to neutral sections when using the AP versions of both locos in TSC or not? If Yes a tutorial should cover the correct procedures on neutral sections with the Tap Changers.
