Hi can anyone tell me playing on the Milton Keynes to London Euston route why plying on PS4 pro The route still keeps crashing on the approach to either Euston or Milton Keynes which I have had only 1 update fix so far when will it finally get fixed so I can play a full route. Which doesn’t give me anymore confidence to purchasing other routes Plus just found out that apparently on PS4 it will be a limited service on the new Carlisle route So does that Mean won’t be able to play the route to morecambe with the 101. A Little confused please if possible can some one explain. I understand it’s because on gen 8 it hasn’t got enough memory. Thanks
This is why. TSW is increasingly becoming unable to support gen 8 consoles. Therefore they're more prone to crashes and will almost always have reduced timetables.
The PS4 is an 11 year old console. Even the pro is 8 years old. They’re outdated. Expecting a game in 2024 designed to run on current gen an PC to run on an 11 year old machine is ridiculous. Like if you owned a PS2 and complained that you can’t play GTA V on it. TSW 5 and the new routes have been made to take advantage of the newer systems. If you’re sticking with the PS4 then you have to take the hit, either that or play TSW2 and 3.
It is more like owning a PS3, paying the same price for GTA V as PS4 players and the game not working despite being scaled back, practically to the bare bones. Pretty much every developer is still releasing and supporting PS4 content probably without frequent crashes. I have recently made the step up to a PS5 and TSW is significantly smoother experience but if DTG are still supporting PS4 then they need to make sure the game at least works.
