Hello, I am unsure as to whether this Route has been suggested, but I hope that the next UK Route to come to Train Sim World 4 will the another High Speed Route and the Route I hope they use is the West Coast Mainline with the Trains being the Alstom Pendolino and the Bombardier Super Voyager with the addition of the all new Avanti West Coast Class 801.
I imagine the first section will include the 390 and the 350 or something similar, including the voyager with the 390 would be a mistake to leave out the commuter traffic, though no reason it couldn’t come later in terms of traffic. its extremely unlikely to ever be a 3 train route at launch (minus the 66), but a 2 train route seems necessary to the get the basics of high speed and commuter, they can’t miss out.
As above, 805s and 807s are in their “future fleet” plans. https://www.railforums.co.uk/thread...st-coasts-805-807s-hitachi-at300-sets.214752/ https://newsdesk.avantiwestcoast.co...er-milestone-for-avanti-west-coasts-new-fleet https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/British_Rail_Class_807 https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/British_Rail_Class_805 https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Avanti_West_Coast#Future_fleet
As well as the branch to Liverpool, yes. Was going to say Manchester as well but I'm doubtful of Liverpool as it is.
My thoughts on what could be good and possibly practical and is very similar to ECML London to Birmingham (probably not going to happen but if theirs a chance theirs a chance) Birmingham to Preston Preston to Carlisle Carlisle to Glasgow seems possible but can’t rule out it getting cut short when it comes to TSW.
Route has been suggested many times, various sections, various eras. So far DTG have not delivered but we can only hope at some point they wake up and see the demand.
I personally want to see the line in 2 full era’s, one when the 390’s are running, I like both Virgin and Avanti liveries (both would be a great bonus) and another era when the APT was in service (perhaps that could be with the AC electrics but I ain’t 100% sure on the accuracy of that) there’s always been the selling issue of making the same route twice in more than one era, but if they make good distinctions between the 2 and have it not all come out together at once I think that issue can be done around with for many routes like ECML/WCML etc.
Hello AtherianKing, I completely see your point, however, Avanti do not operate any Commuter Trains, but having said that they could use the Super Voyager to their advantage. The Super Voyager can be a 4 or 5 Car Train and so, they would be able to make the Super Voyager their Commuter Train and the Pendolino could be a service that could stop at a couple of Stations or a Non-Stop Service similar to the GWR London to Reading HST that stops at Hayes & Harlington and Slough. Thank You, Gibson
Hello TrackingTrains, Avanti operate the Pendolino and Super Voyagers that have been refurbished from Virgin Trains. However, the 801's are new to Avanti's fleet as of this Year 2024 Thank You, Gibson
Hello AtherianKing, I have asked about Virgin Trains being implemented in the Game before, as I stated to them that Virgin Trains revolutionised our Railways and is the reasons the Networks and the Companies that operate those Networks are in operation today. That and the fact that Virgin Trains were a massive part of my Childhood. I was Born in 2001, and I remember my weekly trips for 10 Years from Sheffield to York on Virgin's Class 390's Alstom Pendolino or the Bombardier Super Voyager. Therefore, these are my favorite Trains and will forever be my favorite and for that reason I asked for Virgin to be brought to TSW but apparently DTG's can not get the licence for Virgin considering that Virgin Trains are no longer in service. Thank You, Gibson
I know, they would be in via a different operator (I forget the name, it may be London NorthWestern) no reason the voyager couldn’t come before or afterwards, it just doesn’t make much sense without it being a 3 train route to include the 390 and Voyager together, it would leave out a big segment of the timetable with just those 2.
yea, I’m aware of that difficulty with said license, though not sure that reason is specifically the only issue, not sure all companies would follow that rule so Virgin may be a different problem who knows though with licenses they are all unobtainable until that changes. BNSF is a good example of that.
I agree re the Pendolino and Super Voyager. However Avanti do not currently operate 801s, and this is not in their fleet future plans. They are however going to introduce 805s and 807s.
Think this suggestion is wishful thinking. Besides, if we did get the WCML. I'd rather it was before the 805's/807's etc were introduced and before the voyagers started to get phased out. But still in AWC era.
feel like a lot of people don’t pay attention to the fact that the avanti operator logo in livery designer is the only TOC with no route in the game at the moment which suggests that it’s coming soon
I wonder why Northern and LNER logos aren't in there. Must just be different license terms. Though I do agree it's a good sign as Avanti have clearly engaged with DTG on something.
On the other hand, Great Northern is the owner of Thameslink. Obviously they have licences to be able to release the Class 700.
AFAIK, Govia Thameslink Railway is the parent company, and it owns Great Northern, Thameslink, Southern and Gatwick Express. Come to think of it, we have all of those bar Great Northern so perhaps that will be in an upcoming release? Would strengthen ECML south I suppose. But Great Northern doesn't own Thameslink.
Oh, sorry! They're part of the same group. that's what I meant. However, I believe that WCML will come to TSW at some point. I think it more as a basic route for the game, as I mentioned in another thread on this.
