Just going to say I like the idea before all the "not another southern commuter route" people chime in. What is the difference between the different electrostars anyway (I know the/3 is 3 cars rather than 4).
I think it's the seating arrangements and the cab difference for the /1 & 3 and the /2 has a pantograph
