So, in the spirit of needing *more* diesel routes, I'm here to propose the West of Wales line(s).

The proposal is for the route to run from Carmarthen to all 3 termini, at Pembroke Dock, Milford Haven and Fishguard Harbour, each being roughly an hour from Carmarthen.

The route could introduce a new feature of request stops, with a percentile chance of being informed of a require to stop at a station by a guard (popup message).

I can't find much info on the signalling systems, but if Token block/ RETB are in use, then they could be modelled in to provide a unique gameplay experience.

Rolling stock in use on the lines are the Class 150, 153 and 158.
The 150 would need a updated model/ reskin to suit the era chosen.

Layers wise, the GWE HST can layer in, dependant on era too.

    Thoughts?

Good one. Set it back a few years and you could have the SHG 158 re textured into ATW livery. A Class 153 would not go amiss either.

As regards signalling, so far as I recall the line to Milford Haven is track circuit block working. Whitland to Pembroke is token, with NSTR operation at Tenby and Pembroke. Fishguard I think is electric token but would have to check the sectional appendix.

I think Pembroke Dock ( my hometown) in now a long siding from Tenby, you can only put one train at a time down there now.

Thank you for suggesting this. I was brought up in the area and have considered suggesting the routes many times.

My personal preference would be for the mid 1980's when you would see classes 33, 37, 47, 56, 101, 119 and 120 on a regular basis.

God, please no Arriva Trains Wales.
They were absolutely unreliable as all hell when I used to travel on them, I think I'd get flashbacks.

In all seriousness, I'd love more routes local to me, and I would love more sprinters being useable in TSW.

Ah yes, the big muuuhahhah of the ATW Control in St David’s House at Cardiff when we sent a 143 instead of a 158 down to Milford Haven!

Or putting them on the Fishguard boat train on a regular basis?
Had them to Pembroke on a couple of occasions. Unpleasant.
