I present to you Weymouth to London Waterloo (SWR). Key features: The SWR fleet: Class 158 Express Sprinter Class 159 South Western Turbo Class 444 Desiro Class 450 Desiro Class 455 Class 458 Juniper Class 484 D-Train Class 701 Arterio[2] Class 707 Desiro City Total distance - 119 miles (191km) Nine train depots and stabling sidings are located across London and south west England for servicing and maintaining the South Western Railway fleet. Most SWR services run on electrified lines using the 750 V DC third-rail system. There is a diesel fleet for services on the West of England line to Salisbury and Exeter, using the unelectrified track beyond Worting Junction just west of Basingstoke, and for Salisbury to Southampton via Romsey services which also serve Eastleigh. SWR operates almost 1,700 train services per day. The know length of this route is definitely not realistic in terms DTG development time, but maybe for a third party is more doable. The amazing Just Trains with their upcoming Preston to Carlisle route tells me 100+ miles routes are achievable now. Let DTG pump out the shorter routes and let the third party devs focus on longer routes. This is perfectly acceptable. What are your thoughts on this route? Would you be interested for this route to be featured in the game?
Very good I would like to see the main bit and branches such as the bit from basingstoke to reading -woking and the GWR bit to guildford they could also add the gap from woking to london
Hopefully one day sir we will have the SWR in TSW. DTG have been making plenty of progress through the years, with ECML, MML and now the WCML. It’s only a matter of time.
Lets hope its a big route like southampton to woking using braches and stuff or Weymouth to london(excluding branches) but the branches could be used as mini dlc like someone suggest (mini branch line dlc)
Yeah I agree. Even though I said Weymouth to London Waterloo, I’d prefer a few branches like LIRR. I just want SWR in the game at this point.
i think this is far to long for dtg to make, the longest is about the same length. But all the detail that would have to into this is insane
Far too long… Something like Southampton to Weymouth might be more practical and IMHO far more interesting set in BR Classic era when Weymouth Quay line was still open and the section from Bournemouth to Weymouth was diesel operated.
