Which American Railroads would you like to see in TSW3 and let me know what your suggestions in the comments below
How about Central Railroad of New Jersey and Pennsylvania Railroad if you are wondering where they get the license it has to do from American Underwriters Premiere insurance which was said on a stream by Matt. Reading RR too that means the Allentown Bethlehem Philadelphia route however they need to get the license from the Reading International Group which is the remnant of the Reading RR.
My local metro, wmata, more new york routes, the rest of the nec, etc. A true busy route. My metro line has trains running every 8 minutes from like 5am to midnight so it would be really great to have but dtg don't have the license of course. But I can dream
#1 on my list: Santa Fe, of course #2: Southern Pacific #3: Western Pacific #4: Brightline/FEC #5: Pennsylvania RR
Which colors for Santa Fe the one on F7 or current BNSF? For PRR why not NYC to Philadelphia with GG1 E44 locomotive.
I'll like to see more CSX routes. CSX has a TONS of great routes to pick such has the Spartanburg Subdivision, Nahunta Subdivision, and the Valrico Subdivision.
Honestly none atm with how things are going. Improve the existing routes 1st. Then we can think about new railroads later.
I have 4 ideas for a Santa Fe route. Possible routes could include DLC packs for Cajon Pass or full Raton Pass, Seligman Sub, etc. 1. Steam era (1940s-early 50s) with 5000, 5001, and/or 5011-Class 2-10-4 for heavy freights, 3751/3765/3776 and 2900-Class 4-8-4s for fast passenger services, and a smaller switcher 2. 1950s-60s with F7 A/B in both Warbonnet and Freight liveries, RSD-15 Alligator, SD24, GP7/GP9, NW2, FM H-12-44, FM H-16-44, etc. 3. 1970s-80s with SD40-2, SD45, SD45-2, F45, FP45, GP40X, GP20, GP38, GP39-2, GP35, GP30, U-Boat, Dash-7, etc.; include Amtrak F40PH with Southwest Chief passenger train 4. Mid 1990s with GP60/GP60M/GP60B, GP50, B40-8, B40-8W, C40-8W/C41-8W, C44-9W, SD75M, etc.; include Amtrak P32-8BWH or P40DC/P42DC Genesis with SW Chief
Pacific Surfliner!!! Would also love to see the Metra Racetrack, UTA Frontrunner, Sounder South, Trinity Railway Express, and Brightline
It's a whole section of the north-east corridor in stages. It's too long to do it all at once, so you might need a mechanism such as restarting in the middle of a save or being able to split it up.
Really would love to see the Pacific Surfliner as it is my home town route. LA - Santa Barbara or LA - San Diego. The Capital Corridor between Oakland and Sacramento would be an awesome addition as well. Something with the Amtrak long distance Superliners. Problem is, to effectively incorporate any of those in a reasonable route you would need something between 100 and 120 miles. I've created some comprehensive timetables in excel for all of those routes and they would all be very fun. LA - San Diego would be incredible and very busy between LA and Fullerton with lots of Amtrak, Metrolink, and BNSF. If they miraculously one day pulled off that route with Coaster, Metrolink, Amtrak, and BNSF it would be easily the best and most diverse American route in the game. I'll hold my breath though because I can't see any of it ever happening unfortunately.
The problem with the Milwaukee Road it's that it's held by Canadian national the current owner Norfolk and Western Virginia railroads these railroads are the predecessor of Norfolk Southern. When it comes to licensing the Pennsylvania and reading railroads the first one is held by a remnant of it an insurance company the last one is a theater chain that owns it being the Reading International group which used to be a part of the reading Railroad
Passenger: Rest of NEC, NYC to New Haven, New Haven to New London etc. (Although I think the latter needs a new license and they don't have it) Pacific Surfliner but again, license issues. Freight: Soldier Summit, Tehachapi, Flagstaff to Winslow and Seligman, Stevens Pass, Marias Pass, to name a few. There are just too many scenic routes in the west part of US. Don't know too much about eastern US, but anything close to blue ridge mountains shouldn't be too boring. Colorado is another beautiful state worth exploring. I don't think we've had any routes from Colorado in TSC and TSW except Raton Pass.
What if the pontiac belt subdivision/holly subdivision was in there, from pontiac, detroit to durand with canadian national locomotives
By which RR owns it which means CN? Reading RR is owned by Reading Cinemas which itself is a remnant of the RR C&NW is owned UP hint one of SMH DIesels is in the C&NW Paint. For European fallen flags, I want DR GDR East Germany and KkStb Austria for the Premzyl Lviv route set in the Austria-Hungary era
Either part of the St Louis to Kansas City corridor, from Jeff City via Sedalia or River Subs. Or part of the now semi abandoned NYC through the Adirondacks, up to Malone Junction. Finally the D&RGW front range out of Denver up towards and through the Moffat Tunnel to Winter Park or Granby.
