One of the most annoying things about TSW4's hud was having "new" plastered over every single route. The graphic in TSW5 is less intrusive, however they still won't seem to go away. At first I thought they disappeared after around an hour of gameplay in each specific route, as that's when they seemed to go away for WCML, Frankfurt- Fulda, and San Bernardino. However I had an hour long drive on London Commuter and the marker is still there. More puzzlingly, it DID disappear for Cajon Pass after only doing a few training modules, all of which actually took place in the training centre! I have two questions for the team responsible for the HUD at DTG. Firstly, what's required to get rid of them. Secondly, why do they need to be there in the first place? Do you seriously expect players to forget they've installed a route after paying for it?
I think it's what ever the most recently installed dlc was. I installed my routes 1 at a time rather than all at once and each was only tagged as new until I installed the next. Even if it was only 3 min inbetween installs.
The problem is that this is not how it works in practice, particularly on consoles, where 100% of all the non-core routes I ever installed still show as "New" to this day.
I downloaded all at once however I did install one additional route afterwards and it still said new on all of them. Does it have to be a new purchase?
Which platform are you on? As I said this is a known bug DTG have acknowledged with console versions but never fixed, so odds are it carried over from TSW4 to TSW5.
PS5. I don't think it's completely carried over because unlike TSW4 I do have some routes that don't say new. None of them ever went away in the previous game.
