I wanted to make this thread so people can speculate, guess or simply hope for what the three german routes in the roadmap-like table could be, and what trains we might get to it. I personally have two route wishes with two trains each: - highspeed line Cologne-Rhine/Main (from Cologne to Frankfurt at Main, or a section of the route) with the ICE 4 and the ICE 3 Velaro D, with the ICE 3 from KWG layering into it (because we don't need another one, seriously) - S-Bahn Berlin with the Class 481/482 and the Classes 483 and 484 What are yours?
I would love something in Baden-württemberg! My top three wishes would be: 3. Schwarzwaldbahn With Br111 2. (Frankfurt)-Mannheim-Karlsruhe with ICE 4 1. Basel-Freiburg with ICE 4
Would that be the other direction out of cologne over the bridge? I’d love to see that I’d love to see Frankfurt and Berlin
yeah, for some reason its always the other side of an end station I'd like to drive on, Cologne over the bridge, and Kassel-Wilhelmshöhe through the tunnel-like exit
I'm hoping for Frankfurt High Speed: Frankfurt – Karlsruhe similar route that's on TSC 33 stations,85 miles long. wouldn't just be high speed as it would have lots of other services especially with the 425
That can go even further by crossing the Rhine River into the French city of Strasbourg (Straßburg) the former German territory of Alsace Lorraine which they spell as Elaß-Lothringen. You can see this in train simulator classic Workshop route which itself is actually a combination of the route you pictured the international route and Linke Rheinstrecke Koblenz Bingen Mainz Frankfurt am Main Hbf.
Rheinstrecke Koblenz Bingen Mainz Frankfurt am Main Hbf.
Good to know. will check it out. I think they did tease an upcoming German route that would be another broder crossing. On the roadmap it says 1-3 months away
as long as it's with 300 km/h because the highest we got is 250 and technically 280 which is close to 300 but only for a short time and most trains represent ICE4s in KWG in TSW so we'll stay at 250 there sadly

Ok thanks. Looks like Joe has been busy since he's also updated the Kohl timetable.
That is correct and I do have a feeling that might be made in the 1990s with DB BR181 SNCF BB20200

Surprised to see me mentioned in a TSW thread (either that or my ears are burning ) - To be fair though, the route is pretty much DTG, I just combined them together (well and did work on the original routes too (wires on most of Frankfurt to Koblenz and most of the Karlsruhe to Strasberg end too - and scenery in places too )
I just thought about Karlsruhe-Straßburg again and I think this might be one of the next routes; here’s why: -Every German loco has either run there or still runs there -We could get a Tram as these travel there a lot or the often requested ICE4 -It’s a route that has a part in France: Focus entertainment! -Another cross border route! And in the stream it was mentioned that we will see a lot of them in the coming time -It was also mentioned that the act of border change in Voralbergbahn are way easier than France-Germany- although they could have used many other countries as examples -The route is very good and often requested in TSC -Has a part with LZB, PZB and also two lines which make it very interesting again -It‘s in Baden-württemberg and on the postbox on Niddertalbahn there was a hint „next stop BaWü“ -Baden-württemberg is still missing and also often requested -Yes.
they are often just taking the routes we expected less or didn't even want at all, and "I wish those resources would be spent on new countries" is funny because some routes like Munich-Augsburg are really buggy and broken (atleast safety systems as far as I can tell), you really want that on new country routes aswell?
as long as there's a new ICE... nah jk but your points are good points and uhh yeah I'd love to see it I guess
That's an interesting perspective albeit a rather silly one. Yes, DTG, please make only UK, US & German routes, because we know they're only going to buggy and at least this way you won't screw my favorite country (whatever that may be). DTG may not have the best reputation in my mind, when it comes to bugs and fixing them, but I always assume they start with good intentions
Yeah that I’d also like to see Frankfurt too and someone said karlaruhe…, I had a football friend of mine who lived paid him a visit I’d love to see something go through there.
What safety system problems in MAG? Haven't noticed any (although on the trainwash loop there is a sneaky Ne2 hiding in the shadow of a bridge)
Is this the city that borders with France. I believe there’s a route in TSC that it crosses the border here. I also believe that they mentioned another cross border route around the corner
Granted I haven’t been there since the late 80s but it was a cool city. My friend loved across the street from this chocolate factory. I spent good part of a day riding the strassebahn and having coffee … and later beer .. in the sidewalk cafes on the route. Fell asleep along the rhine watching a shutter work an industry other side of the river. Then we went to this thing called fishefest. They had the largest vats of wine I’ve ever seen. I even got to train with his junior club team. I thought I was good at football until then. I met him at a tournament here in the USA his team came for a tournament so my family hosted him. When we turned 18 he returned the favor and invited me to Germany. fond memories map yes karlsruhe would be cool in the game
Karlsruhe gets TGV traffic from Paris, although it isn't as heavy as the main lines from Frankfurt and Munich via Strasbourg-
The French border is quite near but I think the TGV are going through Straßburg most of the time- don’t know exactly though
My mate would really like to see something near Berlin. I personally think that area is super interesting as well. But I’d also like to have a route in the very southeastern corner of Germany, east of Munich. I live in this area and there’s a lot of cool stuff going on. Personal pick would be the Donau-Isar-Express from Munich to Passau. There’s everything… regional passenger trains, freight trains serving the huge industries along the line (like the gigantic BMW factory in DIngolfing), ICE action between Passau and Plattling. The DB BR 628 shows up at certain stations, as well as Austrian trains coming from the other side of the border. It’s genuinely an area with tons of potential, and TSW4 opens up many new layering opportunities. I definitely think we might see an add-on set there sooner or later.
München-Mittenwald doesn't make a lot of sense. The main line terminates at Garmisch-Partenkirchen; from there the local Mittenwaldbahn makes its winding way to Seefeld and eventually Innsbruck; there is also a branch line to Reutte.
Offenburg-Konstanz on the Black Forest Railway. One of my favorite routes on TSC, it promises gorgeous scenery. Apparently it’s one of the few twin-track mountain railways in the country. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Black_Forest_Railway_(Baden)
Correct and that will introduce French trains like BB37000 B85500 and the retro BB20200 the farthest it goes to West Germany is the former Inner German border at Helmstedt where the RSN Deutsche Reichsbahn Baureihe 132 takes over
