Hi, One thing does not like it me very much on TSW cabs, are the displays - both big and small ones -, but without any information on it! So as today DTG showed new pictures of TSW2 about their locomotives cabs, I would like to share with you an idea or suggestion, I was thinking about, in order to have a better solution for this issue. Of course I believe we have this situation, due to it was not possible for developers to have the corresponding systems being simulated. > Big Displays: - DB locomotives right screen: On this screen is usually showed the train timetable for driver control. This is an image of it: > B: Small displays like radio / telephone ones This happens on almost every locomotive, including the new UK subway, and SD40 and GP38. DTG could include an image of any corresponding frequency for the railroad. >> SUGGESTION: As DTG has contact with the railroads, they could get a high quality picture of each display of the corresponding locomotives, and include them on the cabs! Yes they will be fix images. But I believe is better to have something being displayed, as it is normal on cabs, instead of nothing! I have clear this is less real when you start the locomotive from zero! But most of the scenarios, timetables, and drives are with locomotives almost ready to run. So it not will be a big issue. DTG could program the display be black if the locomotive is off, and then when turn it on, the display load the image. NOTE: This idea could be used also for the much requested stations displays!. Use a fix image as displayed on real life on them, according to each route. What do you think about it? Do you like the idea, as a first more realistic approach or prefer black displays without any information, as today? Please share your comments.
Furthermore I would like to ask PC members with Sand Patch Grade, if in the case of the AC4000AC, can be possible to have different functions on both displays? As on all pictures I saw, are like this... Exactly the same for both! So if it is not possible to change one of them, it will be better to apply the same idea as above. Include an image of a different screen on the real locomotive
