What do you think about new timetables on old routes? Maybe every year? Example: The timetables for “Rapid Transit” are very outdated, perhaps they could be renewed. Or the timetables on Isle of Wight. There are also new timetables with different times. When the timetables are out of date, it is difficult to find out when the next train is coming. I like to look at www. bahn. de and on many old routes the timetables are no longer up to date. What do you think if DTG, like the real Railway Company, updates the timetables every year?
I imagine that might be a lot of work for very little reward. Plus the IOW trains are being replaced so you the timetables in the future most likely won't be realistic.
The complete timetable is not changed every year, but there are additional journeys or the times change on individual trains. On Rapid Transit the complete timetable is different, but on other routes less
No No No No No No No. The timetable on the sim isn’t there to reflect the current timetable, it’s there to reflect a version of the timetable of when the route is set. It needs to stay the way it was produced, with the options of other DLC adding services in line with the represented or setting, or general improvements where necessary of course. It’s not only timetables that change over time. There are the trains used and the signalling systems, electrification, route alterations, operating companies. If everything was updated all the time you would end up with all routes being modern and you would lose the character that older systems give to simulator. All routes need to remain as a snapshot of one point in time. Not entirely set in stone but certainly not regularly updated. The timetables depicted in TSW are never the exact real timetable, are available to view in game (service selection screens) and searchable on the web from players who have tabulated them. It’s not difficult to find them.
