What if NLL was a thing? How would it be implemented? How would trains be able to transfer from the mainlines to the NLL and back onto the Mainlines?

The NLL is a busy corridor for both freight and passenger, stretching from Richmond (and Clapham as we will just include the WLL for the benefits) to Stratford.

As the GOBLIN is apparently becoming a route in 2024, I realised you would be able to do Dagenham to Barking trains, but that's boring when you end the route abruptly, especially when some trains go via Hackney on the NLL than the GOBLIN.
If NLL was being added to TSW, I think that it would go well as a joint pack (but can be sold individually) with GOBLIN. Now you can go all the way from Dagenham to Clapham or Willesden.

But is it physically possible to stitch routes together? What I mean is, a train that can be done on two seperate packs, such as the BML, NLL and GWML, for example a class 66 from Newhaven travelling to Acton T.C using the BML, switches to the WLL at Clapham and then joining onto the GWML at Acton. If let's say they did add NLL this way, so you approach Clapham, would it work so that:
-all three routes are already loaded based on the route selected (I sense a burning pc)
-the NLL will just seamlessly load on, then when you get a certain distance the BML will unload (and vice versa)
-you stop at Clapham to switch routes.

I would like to point out, for anyone who may be unaware, NLL = North London Line, which is a London Overground line.

I would love for more TfL though!

    Not possible to do that.

Merging and extending routes is possible, but on the technical side requires a complete rebuild.

    Not currently.

the timetable functionality is probably the biggest challenge to that.
