I was just sat reading a thread about East Midland mainline and the scenery popping in close to the train on PS5. This got me wondering about the quest for PC users to extract the best from TSW3 through utilising ini settings. It got me wondering whether or not internally dtg use ini settings to improve the visuals on tsw3 and if so what settings they use. Now whilst I appreciate that dtg can't necessarily advocate the use of engine tweaks to improve the quality of the game, I do think it would be quite interesting to understand direct from them as a developer where they would suggest improving the settings and the specifics settings to use to do so. So my question to dtg is do you ever use any settings internally? Would dtg ever be willing to release hints and tips for PC users to improve the ini settings as I feel whilst they've been examples in the past of people that have successfully managed. Dtgs knowledge of their internal coding may offer up different, Solutions that would massively benefit draw distances tree popping, shadow popping, and potentially even frame rates. Any takers at DTG?
I'd think its extremely unlikely youll get any takers, primarily because of liability ("official settings toasted my gpu") and expectation ("if these are official, why aren't they made default") These forums are rabid enough that anything that any DTG staffer says is immediately, permanently and irrevocably treated as gospel and brought up thousands of years later as a stick
