Preorder was 10%, I didnt buy and given the initial feedback I'm not sure I'll get this either. But seeing this makes darn sure I wont be taking a preorder discount again. Also isnt the idea of bundles that the more you buy the bigger the discount? Seems like DTG QA department isnt the only one in a mess, the marketing department need to wake up and make sure their discounts make sense IMO
Not everything becomes a bundle. So preorders, which are pc only and for certain dlc, allows people to buy it for slightly less.
The marketing department should still be doing some joined up thinking and saying to themselves, well we are going to provide X bundle on release day so we will either ensure the preorder discount at least matches this or we wont bother doing a preorder. The current haphazard approach is only going to alienate the customer base.
I had a pretty decent deal, since I already had most of the other content in the bundles! But I am happy I didn't pre-order now.
I don't want to offend anyone, but this is the point where you have to think very quickly about the future of the whole game and the company.
This is the same issue we saw with Trenton and recent American releases. Existing customers bend over and say thank you, new customers sit there with pipe and slippers taking slightly bigger discounts. Good to see retail acted on JD feeding it back then too.
