Did they not lose the Great western one at some stage? I feel like I remember it being a thing but idk if it was that or like First Great Western?
Amtrak BNSF Union Pacific Canadian National Norfolk Southern Caltrain MBTA ( Boston ) CSX MTA ( NY ) NJT Might be more, including Fallen Flags.
Every operator license I can recall being used in the game: United Kingdom - Great Western Railway (GWR) - DB Schenker/EWS - British Rail - Southern - London Underground - Network Southeast - Southeastern - Scotrail - Gatwick Express - West Midlands Trains - East Midlands Trains - Northern - Thameslink United States - CSX Transportation (+ Clinchfield Railroad) - Amtrak - Long Island Railroad - Caltrain - Union Pacific Railroad - MBTA - Metro-North Railroad - Norfolk Southern - BNSF Railway (+ Santa Fe) - NJ Transit Germany - Deutsche Bahn - MRCE - VVO - Railpool - Dispolok - Press Canada - Canadian National (CN) France - SNCF Switzerland - Rhätische Bahn (RhB) - Swiss Federal Railways (SBB) Of course, there may be plenty of other licenses that DTG is able to use for TSW that simply haven't been used yet.
There's also the Austrian ÖBB which can explain why Creators club allows it. You will this on the 182 1016/1116 locomotives
If we wanna split this up properly into the different licenses, it should be DB Regio DB Fernverkehr DB Cargo Railion Deutsche Bundesbahn
Avanti West Coast, GWR (the Big 4 one) and Great Northern all feature in Livery Designer as logos, as well.
Deutsche Bahn is the umbrella company which owns all of the above (save the defunct DBB) as subsidiaries, and I believe controls all the marketing/branding/licensing at the corporate level. The exception was Railion, which was a joint venture with (IIRC) the Dutch.
There are some freight cars with CZ-CDC in their UIC number on German routes -- does that mean DTG has a license for České dráhy?
For containers, DTG has the following licenses... Ocean Network Express (ONE) Hapag Lloyd Hamburg Süd
What about the Glasgow Subway because at glasgow queen street on the way out sign the logo is on there.
Wish they'd make the containers editable so we can add a few more ourselves like Tesco, Eddie Stobart, early Freightliner etc. etc.
I was going to create a thread relating to this but might as well post it here instead. I'd like to see dovetail use the toc licences they already have to better use. Especially now we've added another in northern, not only does it give the opportunity to populate already existing routes but also saves dtg legwork on their side chasing down another license for the next route. Looking at the routes there's lots of tocs with only 1 route, now unless I misunderstand how the licensing works and they have to apply for a licence for evey route, it seems a waste to not use them on more routes.
Some or all of these may have been mentioned above, but if it helps the thread these are what I have listed to be licensed; Allegra Alpine Classic Pullman Express Aqualino Arosabahn Avanti BNSF BNSF Railway Building America Burlington Northern Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railway Chicago and North Western Colorado and Southern Cotton Belt DB Denver and Rio Grande Western Deutsche Bahn AG Die Kleine Rote Duchess of Hamilton Engadin Star Flying Scotsman Frisco Gatwick Express Gourmino Graubunden Great Northern Great Northern Railway Company GWR Heidi Express ICE Mallard MBTA MDV Missouri Pacific Missouri-Kansas-Texas Network West Midlands NetworkSouthEast NJ Transit Northern Pacific Railway Pacific Fruit Express Powerful Future Proud Heritage Railpool Railrider Rhatische Bahn RhB Rio Grande S-Bahn Santa Fe Southern Southern Pacific Spokane Portland and Seattle Railway St Louis Southwestern Starckes Stuck Stiva Retica Suwex Texas and Pacific Thameslink The Burlington Route The Denver Road The Katy Union Pacific VVO West Midlands Railway Western Pacific
If it is then they would therefore still be licensed brands… I don’t think DTG would go to the effort of obtaining those just so they don’t get taken down for CC ICE is also on that list and that ain’t (at least all) allowed on CC to what I recall.
Here's the near-comprehensive list of all licenses, using lists posted by other users. Canada - Canadian National France - SNCF - TGV Germany - Deutsche Bahn (DB) - DB Regio - DB Fernverkehr - DB Cargo - Railion - Deutsche Bundesbahn - Intercity (IC) - Intercity Express (ICE) - S-Bahn- MRCE - PRESS - Railpool - MDV (Leipzig's transport body) - Süwex (Sub-brand, for some services) - VVO (Dresden's transport body) Switzerland - Rhatische Bahn (RhB) - Allegra - Alpine Classic Pullman Express - Aqualino - Arosabahn - Engadin Star - Gourmino - Graubunden - Heidi Express - Stiva Retica- Swiss Federal Railways (SBB/CFF/FFS) - S-Bahn - SBB Cargo - SBB InterCity United Kingdom - Avanti West Coast (AWC) - British Rail (BR) - InterCity - Regional Railways - Provincial - Railfreight - Network SouthEast*- DB Cargo UK / EWS - East Midlands Trains (EMT) - Govia Thameslink Railway (GTR) - Gatwick Express (GX) - Great Northern (GN) - Southern (SN) - Thameslink (TL)- Great Western Railway (GWR)** - Great Western Railway (Big 4) - Island Line (Name only) - Northern (Nationalised) - ScotRail (ScR/SR)*** - Strathclyde Partnership for Transport (SPT)**** - Glasgow Subway****- Southeastern (SE) - Transpennine Express (TPE)***** - Transport for London - London Underground - London Overground******- Transport for West Midlands - West Midlands Railway- West Somerset Railway United States - Amtrak - Acela- BNSF Railway Company (BNSF) - Burlington Northern Santa Fe (BNSF) - Burlington Northern Railroad - Chicago, Burlington and Quincy ("The Burlington Route")- Colorado and Southern - Great Northern Railway - Northern Pacific Railway - Spokane Portland & Seattle Railway- "Santa Fe" (ATSF)- Caltrain - CSX Transportation (aka CSX) - Clinchfield Railroad- MBTA - MTA - Long Island Railroad (LIRR) - Metro-North Railroad (MNR)- NJ Transit / NJT - Norfolk Southern (NS) - Union Pacific (UP) - Chicago & Northwestern (C&NW) - Denver & "Rio Grande" Western (DRGW) - Missouri-Kansas-Texas / "The Katy" - Missouri Pacific - Texas and Pacific Railway - (Union) Pacific Fruit Express - Southern Pacific - St Louis Southwestern / "Cotton Belt" - (Southern) Pacific Fruit Express - Western Pacific Notes * - Network SouthEast is licensed separately from British Rail ** - GWR have, allegedly, stopped working with DTG and other developers. *** - ScotRail can also include the Abellio and First eras, as the Saltire Brand was in place for those. **** - Glasgow Subway signage appears at Glasgow Queen Street on Edinburgh - Glasgow. Therefore, it is assumed that SPT and the Subway are both licensed. This would make sense as, like ScotRail itself, SPT is a public body. ***** - TPE is believed to be available, now that the UK Government have nationalised the company. ****** - London Overground signage features on the Bakerloo Line route, therefore it is likely to be a license held by DTG. - Most Subsidiaries listed of US Freight Operators are "Fallen Flags". These are companies that were merged into the current, larger, railroad, and ceased to exist in doing so. - RhB (seems to) license their separate routes as different brands. Hence the long list. - East Midlands Trains and British Rail both do not exist. They are licensed by the UK Government. - Northern, Transpennine Express (see note *****), Southeastern and London Northeastern Railway (not listed) are all owned and licensed by the UK Government. - ScotRail and Caledonian Sleeper (not listed) are both owned and (at least, in the case of ScotRail) licensed by the Scottish Government. - Transport for Wales (not listed) is owned and licensed by the Welsh Government. TfW has appeared in Train Sim Classic and is believed to be available for TSW, however I haven't listed it as there isn't much conclusive evidence.
You presented your list, with the first sentence, as if it was a conclusive list, when it obviously wasn't.
“these are what I have listed to be licensed” I said it was a list of the ones I know off, clearly leaving room that theirs likely others I don’t know. theirs no need to make such an interpretation when I clearly didn’t state that.
"Süwex" is just the name for a few Regional Express services operated by DB Regio. It's fairly common in Germany for individual lines or networks of regional trains to have some kind of specific branding. For example, the Talent II trains on Nahverkehr Dresden should be branded "Saxonia-Express".
for creators club i believe, but nothing has been made either because it's not for use on a product or it's simply a massive project to bring the wcml
Japan is coming to tsw from Union workshop but a while away. There are other sims too but pc only Korea: hmmsim metro Australia: currently trainz only I believe Japan + China: tsc
FGW are GWR they haven't got either. GWR are owned by first group like SWR, so get either licencing will probably not happen for a long time. First are not the most friendly or willing company. The Isle of Wight steam railway had to shelve plans to extend in the Ryde St John's because of either swr or first that includes a connection on to island line. The steam railway has the set of points that was going to be used
That's not how it works - just because SPT is a government body, doesn't mean its brand etc is "public domain".
