can't wait for ALP-45DP and class 802 and when it comes to third-party dlcs, can't wait for santa fe gameplay pack what are you most hyped about tsw6? edit: for a moment it slipped my mind that the voyager also has diesel engines, so I can't wait for the voyager too edit 2: can't wait for class 150 with authentic sounds (as it also has diesel engines)
Sorry to be biased, but I prefer UK routes more so for me it’s Exeter to Plymouth and Birmingham to Crewe. I’m very happy to see Japan, Czech Republic and Portugal making its way to the game too.
Voyager, Riviera line, Leipzig extension and the core features This as well as the special edition routes(I don't own any so i'm getting special edition)
I've tried to temper my expectations since we haven't seen much of TSW6, but the Riviera line will be a lovely drive if it's done properly. Especially excited for the 220 as you can hear the things from my house.
Everything I don't already own, trains are life, don't care what country their from, mode of power they use, if it runs on rails and has flanged wheels I'm smeared all over it like a cheap suit.......
Announcements sound pretty good so far & they’re going to be a big immersion boost. I genuinely think if they pull it off, this could be the best thing TSW has added to its environment since rush hour & track shadow draw increase. We finally have a Voyager, apart from obviously driving it, combined with the XC 170 we’re going to have a near universal layer for UK routes. All Aboard Studios - these guys seem like they’re going to be the JT of the modern era, they’re coming out with 2 solid packs & I can’t wait to see more of them. I’m not massively excited for random TSR’s, but the signal delay seems like it will make TSW feel a little less sterile. Overall, this year DTG seems to be focusing on less gimmicky additions & it’s good to see.
Wouldn't say I'm hyped as this is DTG after all, but quite looking forward to the South Devon Line (as I'm calling it, Riviera is strictly just the bit from Exeter to Paignton). Driving the 802 and 220 providing the sounds are reasonable, though I'd rather be driving a Paxman HST or Class 50 along there...
Another Just Trains route and seeing the All Aboard route. Hopefully they’ll fix outstanding bugs, but the passengers look the same and the fact Q&A topics tend to lack any response from anyone, perhaps they should rebrand it just a Q, with A’s for our easy questions.
Actually, beyond the initial release I would say the Czech route is my most eagerly awaited following DLC. The two UK routes Birmingham to Crewe and Crewe to Preston also shaping up nicely.
The US content and the GWE remaster. Nothing much beyond those. Random events and TSR's are intriguing, but are being scaled back as we speak. I just have this feeling that, with its modern traction, the South West UK route will be a snoozer. And the German route is just more of what we already have. If I were a German player, I would be disappointed. I'm sure the JT route will be well made, but the map is less than engaging to me. And some of the more distant dlc will be " believe it when I see it ". All in all, I'm sangfroid rather than hyped about TSW6 and the game in general right now.
I should say UK routes... but I cannot wait to see what German content we have in store over the next 12 months. I think the random faults will make the German runs even more exciting with even more use of PZB. I'm very interested in the other European routes too. In regards to the UK content I'm only really keeping an eye on the JT route and the AAS route. Not a big fanatic of the 350 or 390 but it looks visually stunning, and who knows? Maybe someone will make a custom timetable to link up nicely with JT routes.
The routes look solid this year. They are all scenic routes which is a big win for me. I’m all about good scenery. Announcements is also a big one. Very happy to see this happening in TSW.
The fact I'll finally be able to play on Xbox series X and not have blurry textures and sound squelching which never occurred until TSW5 and now plague even older routes which used to work fine but are now making the game almost unplayable. Oh wait, was that not a promised feature for TSW6?
Last year was pretty vanilla, and even up until the end of TSW5s life I would say JTs WCMLOS was the best DLC, and still is one of my favourite routes of all time. Second place would probably go to ATS MAC. But this year, in the first roadmap for TSW6 I've been taken back by the sheer amount of exciting stuff coming out in the next few months alone! Riveria Line is continuing to look promising... Good length, good rolling stock variety and layers... So I hope it continues to hold up. Tyler continues to be Rivets saviour it would seem, so they owe him a pint or two! AAS entry into TSW with Birmingham to Crewe is looking like it's going to be a phenomenal modern route developed by some real passionate people. Not only will we be getting the 350 subclasses, and the layering abilities of the 220, 390, 170, 323 will really add depth to the gameplay. Certainly looking to overtake London to Brighton as the best commuter route in more ways then one, from the scenery to the timetable and attention to detail. Just Trains third entry into the game with Preston to Crewe is looking to be a superb addition to the game. We will be getting the 86/4 and the Mk2D coaching stock, along with the Class 20/0 and 47/3, with layering abilities for the 87 + Mk3As and the 86/2 + Mk2F. There will a variety of passenger operations, but I think this year we will see more a emphasis on freight, particularly the really interesting end to end MGR operations which I'm very excited about. I am a big fan of BR content, particularly the 80s/90s, so this ticks all the boxes for me. What isn't there to move about this grimy BR era? And last but not least, probably the most anticipated release of the last two years... The GWE remaster. Need I say anymore? Liams work is absolutely stunning. GWE was the first British UK route, and looking to be one of the best routes the game has ever seen. So yeah, I'm very excited, what isn't their to look forward to?!
Mostly just the new routes and station announcements. I'm kinda amazed that anyone would get excited about the random fault features. The game is buggy enough as is (e.g., sometimes the wiper already stops for odd reasons), so I can't see opting in to features that can make it tougher to root cause or identify when there's an unintended game issue vs intended fault. Randomized signal delays might have some benefit but I'd been hoping for what's nearly the opposite--a way to accelerate or skip time when there's a need to wait 1 to 5 or 10 minutes at a station (because of an early arrival into a station).
Looking forward to the US and DE core routes the most, along with the Expert 145 (the highlight for me) and Stuttgart Heilbronn.
Having grown up in Exeter, seeing it and the route is a big deal for me. Leipzig to Dresden will be cool too.
Really? I've never seen anything like it. Sometimes I feel like consoles are playing a completely different game. On PC, time rewind is easily accessible, even if it's a god mod. And it's damn convenient.
I am hoping that Union Workshop gets Tadami Line done for TSW6, and that it was worth the wait. Outside of that, maybe seeing how HISs content stacks up again their controversial ones on TSC....
I wouldn't say I'm "hyped", but I'm looking forward to Liberec - Stará Paka route and partially Leipzig - Dresden.
Announcements is something I have always wanted and marked in the polls as one of my most requested things as I felt it was a priority for immersion. I'm really glad they've implemented them and I hope they've done a good job, and hopefully we'll see them on previous routes.
Leipzig extension GWE remaster Riviera Line JT Crewe-Preston Crewe-Birmingham Very good TSW iteration for UK routes so far! Quite excited.
Agree, there’s so many gems when it comes to UK routes. It would be a crime not to add announcements to most of them.
The likelihood that the price of TSW5 routes will be sold at a discount when hopefully any issues have been fixed. I virtually buy all the DLC delayed these days. The only disadvantage I see to my strategy is that you miss the excitement of the hype of a new route.
