This has been something that's been on my mind ever since it was first announced that the Bakerloo Line would finally recieve it's timetable update, but now it's finally out for TSW3 (and one day for TSW2, supposedly), I want to turn the attention to a timetable that you probably don't even realized exists (unless you own this particular add-on) but could still do with having a similar style expansion and that is the timetable that uses the 1938 stock.

To give you an idea about what I'm talking about, when Rivet released the 1938 Stock for the Bakerloo Line, it came with a seperate timetable that allowed you to use it in service mode, but to be honest, it was basically a copy-and-paste of the original Bakerloo timetable. It had less services compared to the original, 184 compared to 201 (and later 205 with the New Journey's Expansion), but that was only because the old timetable had been adjusted to fit the slower train that the 1938 Stock is.

So the point of this thread is, now that we have this new expanded Bakerloo timetable, and now considering the fact that the Bakerloo Line strangely has 3 seperate timetables, the most for any TSW route so far (original, expanded and 1938 Stock), what should we do with the 1938 stock timetable? Should we try to expanded it or should we just leave it be?

Well to be honest, I don't think there's ever a chance that we will see this timetable expanded one day, nor do I think it should a top priority right now. But it can still be fun to think up of ideas for what a expanded version of this timetable might be like. However, there are two factors to considering when trying to expanded this timetable.
    1. You have to remember that the 1938 stock came with two livery variants. One red roof and one black roff. So you have to decided whether you either have it predominantly one livery variant or the other, or whether you have it as a 50-50 split between the two.
    2. You also have to remember the launch livery 1972 Mark 2 stock that came with the New Journey's Expansion pack. Would you involve this in an expanded timetable in any way, and more importantly, was there ever a timetable when the Bakerloo Line both the 1938 and 72 stock running together on this route?
The thing is with the last point, the 1972 Mark 2 stock were mainly for the Jubilee Line at that time and by the time they were all transfered to the Bakerloo in 1987, all of the 38 stock had been withdrawn on that line 2 years earlier, so it seems like any expanded 38 stock timetable wouldn't be able to have both of these units running on it at the same time, right?...

...But believe me or not, I did find a time when they did run on the Bakerloo together.

Between 1977 until the opening of the Jubilee line in 1979, the 1972 Mark 2 stock worked alongside the 1938 stock during this time, and this is the setting for my 38 stock timetable expansion proposal.

The basic idea I have is a timetable set roughly around 1978 that is made up of the one half being 1938 stock (mainly the back roof as that was the livery they had during that time, as well as giving that liveyr more use than the two trains it has on the current 38 stock timetable) and the other half being made up of the 1972 Mark 2 stock in launch livery from the New Journey's Expansion Pack. The services that they would mainly do is Elephant and Castle-Queen's Park, with some going towards Stonebridge Park and Harrow & Wealdstone during peak times, just like it was during those times. But also, while this part isn't represented here, you would also see services branch off at Bakers Street towards Stanmore, because remember, during this time, that branch was part of the Bakerloo Line, before being transfered to the Jubilee when that opened in 1979, although due to fact that the we don't have the platforms coming from Stanmore at Baker's Street, northbound services joining the route would have to start at the next station heading north, Regent's Park.

Again, I doubt such an idea, as cool as it would be, would ever come to fruition. But like I said, it's still fun to come with such and idea, and see if there's any interest for it.
