Yesterday Steam decided to do a download at 55B/s with a peak of 68.1KB/s my internet is bad but not normally this bad, 2 days to download a new route is what I would normally expect but this was just crazy even for me.
I'm on gigabit internet at home so hardly ever drop below 800Mbps, so my speed is likely limited by "the other end" more than mine
I remember installing TS2016 on my Dad's PC. At the time his "broadband" would hit 1Mb/s on a good day. I left it overnight.
I have no reason to complain about Internet speed. I have the lowest priced bundle, including internet, TV and a land phone line for Euro 55 per month. But it is fast enough. T-Mobile has announced to build an all optic network. If it is cheap enough I probably will switch. The real problem is Wifi. Because the frequencies are free, people in my neighbourhood started increasing the transmission levels to get a better reach, so there is something like a Wifi war going on.Nobody gains in the end because we are disturbing each others signals more and more. So I have a 1Gb ethernet network in most of my home.
My worst internet speeds for downloads have been in the KB I think a couple of hundred a odd year back now, generally now it’s between 29-43mb ish though has moments where it goes above 90 and 100 noticed it through the Xbox downloads
I think you can change the channels on your router to ones that are less used (they overlap a bit). There are also apps to figure out the occupation in your local area. Edit: Check this: https://www.howtogeek.com/197268/ho...nnel-for-your-router-on-any-operating-system/ Anyway I have about 50-60Mbps connection.
Bonjour , en France , 30 € (tv+internet+téléphone) avec la fibre super débit 450 mb/s ! je comprends votre galère pour télécharger !
I remember the days where broadband was advertised as 10x faster than 56k. It felt so fast switching over and no disconnects every hour.
