You will definitely need to keep a eye out for wheel slip and be ready to reduce throttle or dynamic brake lever to stop the wheel slip. Just did a run in winter weather with a stack train up the Cajon Pass and down and BOY OH BOY that was some real train handling I had to do. Been doing this for 21 years since MSTS came out and this is some really good physics going on.

Well said. There’s a reason why in real life, Cajon Pass has some of the most detailed train handling rules and procedures compared to any other area of US railroading. I agree, good challenge but good fun!
