Hi, I have recently purchased Train Sim World 3 for PS5 and the Tees Valley Line add-on. I live near Bishop Auckland and was delighted when I noticed that one of the trains in the PSN store screenshots had "Bishop Auckland" on the front, the timetable menu lists Bishop Auckland as a destination and even the in-game platform monitors listing services to B.A. However, I was disappointed to discover that the track terminates at Darlington. Any chance of adding the missing stations? Many thanks
If they where to add the missing line they'd have to completely rebuild TVL with the same treatment as SEHS. I don't know if DTG would do this or not as I'm not sure the actual demand for this and wether it'd be worth the rebuild but yeah - its a lot more complicated then just adding stations and laying tracks - you have to rebuild the entire route.
Destinations on pis or in the destination will show off route destinations cuz that's how it is in real life. Not every route does this but most of your routes will say point a to b that are off map so you only drive between what's provided in tsw
Honestly I don't know why DTG did it. They just did and we have to live with it unless they rebuild it. Mods can't do extensions so not like it can be modded.
In addition to Bishop Auckland, the Boulby freight only extension at the eastern end was a major omission. A very scenic stretch of railway with some challenging gradients. In some ways, TVL is the Oakville of the UK Classic routes. Cut off at arbitrary locations to fit within the allocated production cycle.
seems to me like a missed calculation, that they ran over their own allocated time and had to stop at Darlington.
For me this is the biggest downside to what is otherwise an interesting route. The line to Bishop Auckland would haven't added that much extra route mileage and much of it is rural scenery so I don't understand why it wasn't added. Most of the passenger services don't terminate in Darlington so you can't actually complete them. For me it was an odd decision, similar to ECW not going to Hastings. I have a feeling if they were building it now it would have included the line to Bishop Auckland.
