Hi folks which is the best program for making content for ts?, ive always used blender but after updating to the newer version along with the new version of briage i cant seem to export into ts. Even a simple cube with a basic texture throws loads of error codes up, ive asked on blender exchange but got no answer i have also installed older versions but to no avail.
I have started using 3d crafter and made some signs and got them into ts very easily and quickly but i now want to make some bridges for my route but i think i need the pro version for the extra tools, is it worth paying €40 for the pro version or are there any other programs that would do. Thanks

It's more a case of how much money (and time) you've got to invest, pretty sure Autodesk Maya & 3DS Max are the go to standards these days for all 3D modelling, and the only free comparable alternative is Blender.

Are you sure you're using the right build version of Blender that Briage requires?

I think so yes, ive tried briage 3.5 with all the blenders upto the newist which is 4.0. Ive made plenty of assets before and never had a issue with exporting them. But after i installed the new versions everything i try just gives error codes even a unmodified basic cube with a simple texture will not export. Its a shame as its the program i have spent a lot of time using and i enjoyed using it

Use Blender, don't waste your money on Autodesk products.
Get the latest version of Briage here https://devmares.com/en/content/6-briage
I use Blender 4.0 with Briage 3.2.101, works fine both for IGS and IA.

If you don't get it to work post the errors from System Console here.

So last night i went through my downloads folder and found previous versions of blender and briage i removed them all then redownloaded blender 4 and briage 3.2.101 and managed to create a few basic models and export them, the only problem i had was with the blueprint editor it said the texture file was not in a sub folder directory even though they are in the same place they have always been as i have used them for 3d crafter. Could it be blenders location on my hard drive causing this?. Thanks

If you don't have the textures in the default "Texture" folder then it migh give an error on export. Sometimes you need to check the "use raw path" in material tab (IGS settings) to use other textures paths than the default one. The error log from blueprint editor would be helpful in this case, and or screenshots from the material tab.

Earlier it was needed to have the blend file on the same drive as the textures and probably Source folder too. Not sure if this has been fixed.
You also have the option to write texture path from blend file or igs location in the main IGS settings.
I always save the blend files in my project folders within the Source folder to avoid problems.

It did cross my mind just after i wrote my earlier message i exported the models before saving as a blend file. I usually save as a blend file then export as a igs and they both go in the same folder i then create a scenery blueprint in the editor. I will have a go again tonight and see how it goes and will post any errors.

Haven't seen that error before but it looks like it is related to the material. I will ask on the Briage Discord server.

This is why i stopped using it before as it kept throwing these sorts of errors at me, when i reinstalled blender a couple of days ago i used that texture on several basic models and exported them without a problem.

Check for any empty material slot(s)
Can you confirm that you are using briage 3.2.10?

Did you import an IGS to Blender?
Are you using any nodes? Imported nodes (TS material) can cause problems.

Try to delete the material, and add a new one.

Ive not imported into blender only exported, ive tried the default cube with 3 different materials all of which ive used on assets ive made in the past and exported into ts. It gave me the same errors for the 3 different textures i tried.

Surface is set to TS Material. This is something I've only seen on imported IGS models. Use Principled BSDF instead.

Bit of success i tried this to no avail so i clicked on the link button and i usually link the material to the object so i linked it to the objects data and it created and exported the igs file. I shall now have a go at the blue print editor.
