SEH already is an extended route, would make less sense to extend an extension of a route.

Some good suggestions there though you probably should have restricted it to a choice of three or people will just vote for all.

TVL could be extended at the other end too. Freight only to Boulby, round the coast to Hartlepool or Sunderland or even off towards Whitby.

I don't think you mentioned Cathcart which could do to be part of a wider Glasgow network.

BCC to Worcester a good shout, though I would say Great Malvern or Hereford even better.

To be honest I would prefer fife circle to be extended to dundee, that way we could have potential inter7city HST, LNER and crosscountry layers if any of those get added. Another idea is an extension of Cathcart circle to either Paisley canal, or glasgow central via cambuslang and to glasgow central low level.

Yeah, I decided Bishop Auckland because it would make the full Bishop Auckland - Saltburn route.

Now that I think of it, Dundee would also suit FCL alongside Perth.

Yeah, I would love to see Unreal Engine 5 on TSW. It would expand the limits on TSW currently.

Not sure if it would count as an extension or not, but I would want to see the Thames Valley Branch Lines.

Bishop Auckland to Darlington, preferably with the same treatment as WSR and LIRR 2.0. I actually would also love to see a 156 or 158 in the BR Era too on this route

Why only post UK routes? Quite a biased poll in my opinion. Title should be “Which UK route do you want to see extended?”

Personally I couldn't name where any non-UK routes extend beyond whats in TSW, so wouldn't be able to vote for other countries anyway, perhaps with your local knowledge you could do a US poll, and someone could do a German one.

Birmingham Cross-City expanded to include Walsall, Wolverhampton (and Soho depot), possibly Rugeley and Coventry too, as a network of lines radiating out of Birmingham New Street. The new Class 730 could also feature, given the design similarities to the Class 710 from the recent Goblin line. Although this time I would prefer services split into two parts (each half starting or terminating at New Street) to avoid the 1 hour 30 minute slog that some end-to-end Cross-City services can be sometimes.

East Coastway remastered with an extension to Ore (ideally Ashford with a Class 171 but I'm being realistic here), and the Lewes to Haywards Heath segment, together with the missing London Victoria services and a Class 377/3 allowing 3-car substitution with the Class 313 on a single timetable. The Class 377 itself getting the sound improvements from the Brighton Main Line route, and having random Class 387 substitution (these now operate certain Coastway services in reality).

Couldn't really decide between ECML, NTP, PFR, SEHS, EC and BB.
    • SEHS - probably not much chance of Channel Tunnel due to licensing, but if they did a fictional branded version I would buy it. I also think Ramsgate and Dover would also be good places to extend it to, since Ramsgate has a depot and would allow for full length services, and Dover would have interesting scenery with the cliffs.
    • EC - if it was extended to Ashford rather than Hastings, since Ashford is already modelled and the 170 could be turned into a 171. It would also allow the short freight line to Dungeness to be included.
    • PFR - I think it is one of the best looking routes, but quite short.
    • ECML and NTP - if York were included I hope the interior of the National Rail Museum would be modelled, so we can display our trains there.
If I were ranking them in order of what I personally would find most interesting, I would probably go with:
    1. SEHS
    2. EC (if it went to Ashford)
    3. PFR
    4. NTP
    5. ECML (York)
    6. BB
    7. SoS
    8. TVL (either)
    9. WCL (if the original scenery was improved)
    10. MML
    11. GWR
    12. BCC (either)
    13. FC

I’m with you on that one. It’s interesting they included Markinch so maybe it will happen later down the road. Certainly hope so. More importantly though the Fife Circle needs some improvements before anything else….

I voted ECML to York. Would be a pretty decent run.

I don’t know if these are feasible but there are a couple of extensions to the Bakerloo I wouldn’t mind:

    1. Using 1938 stock, add the original Bakerloo line from Baker Street to Stanmore (now part of Jubilee Line). It would take some artistic licence as the existing Bakerloo is set at the time of release of TSW2, whereas this would need to be set pre 1979.
    2. Extend the existing Bakerloo to Watford Junction (and preferably from Queens Park to Euston) as a London Overground route using the 710. I have downloaded the Creators Club scenario with the 710 from QP to H&W and it’s quite fun with a good mix of 710s and 1972 stock.

I would wait a bit for the Bakerloo Line since TFL are extending the Bakerloo Line to Lewisham, which will complete in the 2030s.

GWE all the way for me, it would have so much variety to offer too. As I mentioned in another thread already, following the same route as the TSC original. Personal preference would be around the year 2019, just as the IETs were entering service and some HSTs were still on some long distance diagrams. 387 would need a GWR overhaul as would the existing 801.

MML has the most potential for an extension I think, you could either go to Sheffield in the north or extend it down towards Bedford and even London in the south. A Sheffield extension is more likely an extension to Bedford would mean possible Thameslink AI etc.

I’d love to see Great Western Express extended to Abbey Wood with Heathrow also added and a Class 345. A lot of this is in tunnels, but it’d be great to be able to run Elizabeth Line services alongside GWR services using the Class 387s and Class 800.

Only issue with CrossRail is I believe its run on ATO under central London. Although I don't know where it ends towards Abbey Wood.

Voted for 4, but BCC to Worcester for me. Would be great to take it up to Snow Hill in the other direction too.
Has the option of inlcuding the SVR start point at Kiddy for various stock moves (Diesel Gala and Steam Gala).

I voted for just East Coastway to Hastings and MML to Sheffield.

However, what I'd really would've liked from the poll was:

BML: So many extensions, such as to:
    - London Bridge via the South London Line
    - Horsham via the Arun Valley Line
    - Lewes (from Wivelsfield) which links up with ECW
    - Hove
    - Tattenham Corner
    - Caterham
    - East Grinstead
    - West Croydon

    ECML:
    - Extension to King's Cross (ECML South) which would be amazing with all the Thameslink and Great Northern services instead of just LNER

I would vote them all, I don’t see an issue with any, I don’t think a route already extended should be a high priority to do again too quick (give the others a chance) but definitely wouldn’t say no to future ones for it.

if I had to pick one I’ll vote Lincoln and Leeds for ECML, no point voting York if you can get both in that one ;)

For me, without doubt, i would 100% love an extension of ECML to York.. i would in all honesty gladly pay another £30 if we got the York to Doncaster section added to the route.. food for thought if you're watching this Matt!

I voted for BCC to Worcester, BCC is lacking train and service diversity, and such extension can bring us some diesel service ( Class 172 or newer 196), or even XC's voyager ( if DTG getthe license of XC).

IMG_1698.jpeg GWR definitely needs revisiting and giving a new lease of life. Extending to Swindon and adding two other branch off points on the route.
GWR: London Paddington to Swindon via Banbury & Newbury.

I think a 2019 upgrade would offer variety, since in my opinion, TSW made GWE a bit too early, since the class 800s were coming.
