The 363 loco add-on has a nice discount on the PlayStation store right now, but I can’t really find concrete info on the layers it unlocks. The services it adds to its “home” route Ruhr-Sieg Nord seem to be quite well-received, and there are apparently also some services on Hamburg-Lübeck. But I can’t seem to be able to find a list of all the layers, mostly because the different loco variants (e.g. DRA blue livery) make it somewhat difficult to recognize which loco version unlocks which layer.

Perhaps someone has the red variant and can list all of the routes they can drive it on? I could then look at my game and figure out the difference because I have all the other (blue) variants installed.

    Thanks in advance! :)

I am fairly certain that 363+RSN is what adds the 363 services to Salzburg as well.

Yes, I do own RSN! Apparently the 363 services allow you to serve some local industries on that route, which sounds really cool.

I have that route and loco and pretty sure it layers into most German routes for shunting and short trips

Together with the (Old) DB BR 101 you unlock a special Service on Hamburg-Lübeck in which you bring IC Wagon and Dostos with the MRCE 182 to Lübeck, after which you have to sort them with the BR 363 or the G6

I checked and found that I can use the Red 363 on the following routes:
    -Bremen-Oldenburg
    -Salzburg-Rosenheim
    -Hamburg-Lübeck
    -Maintalbahn
    -Ruhr-Sieg Nord
    -Tharandter Rampe
    -Frankfurt-Fulda

I have every German DLC installed except Ludwigsbahn, München-Augsburg, Rapid Transit and the BR 182

It's certainly a great loco DLC considering how much variety, gameplay and extra AI traffic it brings to so many routes, both new and old!

But, the best services with it are from RSN. They are superb because they offer a lot of interesting gameplay and RSN has such a unique charm:

The last one is from Hamburg-Lubeck:

Thank you to bobbobberdd and cloudyskies21 for sharing the route list and amazing screenshots!

I really think I’m gonna go for this add-on. I too enjoy the atmosphere Ruhr-Sieg Nord offers… was doing one of the short Iserlohn shuttle runs there a few days ago and it reminded me how cool the route is. I love how many unique services and static stock the loco adds to other routes. Really think this will be worth the investment.

The other two shunters (G6 and DB BR 204) are on sale every now and then as well. But the G6 has most of its layers unlocked by the 363 add-on and would only appear on a handful of routes on its own (like the new Netherlands route, I believe). And the 204 is famously Rivet’s first TSW DLC and doesn’t seem to get much love from the community. Plus, the Aschaffenburg Harbor can also be explored as part of the Maintalbahn route, and they removed the layering/substitution of the 204 onto a bunch of other routes a while back because it was apparently “inaccurate”. So the 363 comes out on top overall in my case.

    You're welcome!

Regarding the G6 for the new Dutch route, from memory it's literally 3 services consisting of just 5-10 mins duration each, so really not much at all. If you like the G6's home route, RRO, then that's much better value.

While true, I would still say the G6 is worth it because it offers a completely different experience compared with the 363, plus the added bonus of more variety too...

Absolutely. I guess I’ll see how much I like the 363 services and layers, and then consider the G6 if it gets a nice discount. As you said, it would add lots of variety to the sidings since it can substitute into basically everything all the 363 variants are doing.

RRO already has quite a lot going on timetable-wise. You’ve got the S-Bahn services, regional trains and freight. RSN only has mostly regional trains and freight. So I’d say having a shunter available proportionally adds more gameplay and value to the latter route.

Please do :) RSN is fantastic with the 363 layer. The only shunting timetable that perhaps surpasses the 363 RSN timetable is the G6 one for RRO. I can’t recommend both enough as both transform their home routes for me. The G6 is also a totally different driving experience (you can absolutely feel the 50 years difference in build dates).

So definitely get the RSN 363 and pick up the G6 when that’s on sale. I think one or two G6 RRO services are broken unfortunately (something like TSG can’t fix them and DTG won’t bother fixing them, unfortunately) but that timetable does a good job depicting a day in the life of a shunter by having you handle shunting and local freight all over the route.

Thanks, will definitely have a look at the G6 timetable on RRO now that you’ve mentioned it. If you’re saying it’s even better than the 363 one on RSN, it’s gotta be quite cool! Hopefully it gets a nice sale soon ;)
