Which routes are people considering pre-ordering, if any? I am probably going with: Almost certainly: TSW 5, WCML: Preston - Carlisle, Tadami Line Probably: Spoorlijn Zwolle - Groningen Maybe: Cardiff City Network Wait for discount: the others
All of them because they are all new to me. If it's from a new region/country/continent/era, I tend to buy the first dlcs day 1. If it includes any interesting new rolling stock which all of them do, I'll end up getting it day 1. Although I should be picking and choosing so I don't go into debt
Both the german ones look to have some interesting track and service variations. You can't go wrong on JT's new route after BPO. I'm unsure about the WCML. might get it on a sale. looks interesting but money doesn't grow on trees. I hoped for more Austrian content, but I certainly can't refuse my own country so I'm definetely pre ordering the Dutch route.
I think Cardiff and the WCML are dead certs, then I'll be impulse buying some older stuff from tsw4 too (I'm coming up from TSW3).
I’m interested in all of them except the San Bernardino line… I’m going off a cab ride video I saw on YouTube a while back and apart from the part where you are in the middle of a highway the rest of the route looks pretty boring…. Plus it’s a very slow ride from start to end… I’m not sure about the other US route neither yet as I know nothing about it. Everything else looks pre order worthy.
The JT WCML is an instant buy, the DTG WCCL (West Coast Commuter line) is going to likely be bought solely as it's part of TSW 5, otherwise I wouldn't be buying it. The Welsh route is likely but not certain and the other routes I won't buy as I just don't have the interest in them.
My heart is set on WCML Preston - Carlisle. Will probably get TSW5 UK Edition for the WCML South later, and the Class 390 much later, when it's available as standalone DLC.
Considering pre-ordering TSW 5 standard or deluxe. The catch is that I already own the third DLC to form part of the deluxe version (i.e. Cajon Pass). So, for me, the 30 Euro difference would cover the 390 and the Flixtrain Vectron. 15 Euros per train does not sound too bad but not too great, either. I could get the standard edition and wait (probably months) for the 390 and Flixtrain to go on sale, but how much would I save? I really enjoy the variety on the routes so having the locos on the routes from day one would be a great plus. Ideas?
non I will wait 6 months for this show up on steam key resellers for less the 20 bucks. edit Well just saw the upgrade is finally free. I might spend money on TSW stuff again at some point in the future.
I will only pre order the TSW5 Deluxe bundle. I need to see the other routes first but most will be day one purchases I guess.
Deluxe edition already pre ordered for me. Wcml over shap day 1 purchase. Dutch route probably day 1 but need to know more. GWE remaster am I greedy wanting day minus 365. So looking forward to this remaster
None. What's the point in it? Route might end up bad, then it was a waste of money. Only buy if you know the stuff is good.
I do agree on a lot of things. Only thing for me is it’s JT doing it and on previous history (Blackpool branches) I think my confidence in the route is justified. Plus day one purchase will still have included getting all knowledge available before purchasing.
I waited so long for Frankfurt and now I get it with OFFENBACH included aswell! Offenbach-Ost is a station I'm riding through daily on workdays. Offenbach Ost when the City Tunnel is closed due to maintenance lol I'm so happy and I somehow hope some effort went into this because I might stay on this route for months to come! And yeah, I was totally surprised on reveal and hyped for a moment!
I've pre-ordered the Deluxe Edition of TSW5, and I'll very, very likely pre-order the JT Shap and NL routes. The content coming in TSW5 launch looks like it'll keep me occupied for a long time. The German route looks amazing, and WCMLS also looks good, and I'm looking forward to running the 350 and 390 on there.
Gone with the Deluxe pack for starters. WCML over Shap an absolute must have. The route that might tip TSC in the dustbin. Cardiff Valleys also a must have. Obviously we don’t know the extent, can’t see it being the entire network but it will be a wild experience. The Dutch route to support a new country in TSW and I like NS, though last travelled around Holland in the 80’s so different traction entirely. Tadami, again to support a new country and developer and the route is very good in TSC.
