Just asking a question here in the forums who here enjoys playing the German routes that are electrified to 15kv 16.7hz and using the DR Baureihe 250 DB/Press Baureihe 155? For me it is my favorite electric loco in the game because of it's high tractive force. Enough to pull a fully loaded PZB90 Zugart U trains and heavy Sggmrss trains. Does anyone here enjoy playing it? Want to make it go fast trick is Tractive force 130% Taps 28-30. On Riesa-Dresden the Weißig-Böhla line is downgrade when running Riesa/Röderau bound freight. Therefore you must brake at 125 kmh since the Red G circle lights up to be in 120 kmh when running Sggmrss freight with the 155.
The only freight loco I use for German routes now is the Vectron. If I want to drive something similar I go to the BR 110 (which I think I better)
The Austrian 1293? Between the two if I need to play it in the snow I would use the 155. For starters that has happened to me on the Wunderline Bremen Oldenburg Groningen Netherlands and Riesa-Dresden. My trick is drop the traction force down to 40-50 percent and then sand. Taps drop to zero and then go to 28-30 while sanding. the US practice of eight and sand
I voted it's not, because my favourite loco is the BR 110. The 155 is a good 3rd place, closely behind the BR 101 and therefore my favourite freight loco. So yes, the 155 ist great.
It's not my FAVORITE, but it's in the top 3. The 182 and the 363 are also up there, although the 155 is fun to drive with the tap changer. I have to say that the 218 is rising the more I use it. It's only half as powerful as the 155 though. I know power isn't everything, but..... ;-)
Ok then but the DR Baureihe 250 is my favourite loco because when steep gradients with heavy Freight I prefer to use it. My trick is this lower taps from 30 to 0-10 and sand. Same time the traction force is dropped from 130% to 40-100% to get the DR BR250 DB/Press BR 155 going
