Why BR101 for Hauptstrecke Rhein-Ruhr? It's very short, and doesn't have LZB. Does this mean that BR101 will not have LZB in TSW2? München - Augsburg would be much better route for this loco.
I think it's a bit contrived to say they're putting it on HRR to get away with not doing LZB. I think they're doing it because of the memory issues on consoles with Munich.
I’m hoping that it can also be used for other routes; otherwise it will be a very short distance and a very boring locomotive. I was hoping that it could be used for RRO and RSN? I’m not sure if the IC services run there, but it sure would make the routes more interesting (for me it would anyway haha)
Well on SKA there would be no timetable to replicate, so switching the Loco away from there is a good choice. HMA would make perfect sense as it is seen alot there - but releasing another layer onto a route that has issues with that (on consoles) would probably end in alot of grief... Mind you that the stops would be the same as with the ice, so Augsburg and München only. HRR is a short route, quite sadly, but the 101 is prominently seen there so at least that makes sense. As far as I know there are IC lines from Wuppertal to Hagen, so there is at least potential for another layer on RRO (and at least they should include a layer for HMA in my opinion) Regarding LZB, it was said early on that we should expect to see released tech being applied to new content releases. Ergo since they have the LZB tech, it should be implemented with the 101 regardless of the connected route. People will go livid if DTG would not include that. (and we still don't know if the Loco comes with cars. IC cars and very best would be to include the IC cab car aswell - but that's another topic)
Neither of those two locos have layers anywhere other than in their own routes. They are only useable on other routes by substituting into layers made for other locos. Loco DLC has only ever added a service layer to one route. We’ll have to see if there any other uses of the 101 but I expect only new paths will be available for scenario planner in other routes rather than service layers.
