I have the following problem, I am just in the middle of a train ride and had to use some braking power in order not to exceed the permitted maximum speed and then put the brake back on the driving. When I set up the power controller now, the train no longer accelerates further but brakes slightly and it always decreases 1 km/h. What is the reason for this? I suspect your train is a German one with AFB - a Cruise Control system The maximum speed is set by the cruise control and it does not allow the train to faster than the set speed The line Speed is 130kph from the F3 HUD at the bottom but the AFB is set at 50kph - Red pointer next to the 50 on the speedo So the train will not got faster than the set speed Peter
It goes a bit further than that. If you are driving with pzb and afb on then the following can apply: If you use the brakes after entering zugbeeinflussing, you need to operate the afb lever in order for the powerlever to work again. This is true of the vR101 (i have the steam version) so it might be true for other locos too.
