Local transport in Dresden Riesa is just one example of many. When travelling under the platform roofs at night, it is so dark that you need a torch on the platforms to see anything at all.

I used to love travelling there at night and in the evening, but for a very long time now it's no longer fun when the light is so bad. When will this finally be corrected?

Have you also corrected the PIS? I'm really disappointed as to why you only ever do things like this.

Is that at certain stations? Platform lights seem to be working fine for me

Night lighting probably will stay the way it is. It's always been an issue on many routes. Nights too dark or headlights barely do anything. I think it got much worse with the new lighting. Doesn't help that there is almost no ambient light sources. Headlights have been improved with tsw3 on select trains but night lighting as a whole needs a major upgrade

It is not only literal darkness they leave us in. They leave us in metaphorical darkness a fair bit too.

Night lighting is one of those strange aspects of the game which can either be really good, or rather poor. It is very much a luck of the draw sadly.

Agree completely. Couldn't have said it better. Night lighting is unlikely to improve as long as DTG doesn't see it as a priority.

I don't drive at night in TSW, it's an awful experience, though I must say I do very much enjoy an evening run from Preston to Blackpool South, the night lighting there is very good.
