Why is the cab of the TSW4 Vectron add-on CAB different from every other Vectron i've seen on the youtube or images. TSW4 Vectron cab vs the Vectron cab in youtube https://youtu.be/BwBQI9sttDY?t=318 couldn't find any Railpool vectron Cab for reference
The "Vectron" is not one loco, it's a whole family of subvariants for different operators with different rules and requirements. Ours is based on the one that Lukas rode in Austria with Locomotion as I understand it. Matt.
There a lot of different versions of the Vectron. It differs from country to country and from operator to operator which systems are implemented or not. This also results in a different amount of displays. Although I must admit, I haven't seen a real life Vectron with the screen on the upper right.
Speaking of Lokomotion: why did you not also include a Lokomotion livery for the Vectron? Their blue-stripe livery is so iconic. Did they not want to give you a license?

No particular reason - I don't think we have approached them for a license yet to be honest - they were brilliant partners to work with and really liked what we do, and I agree it'd be great to get them in the game. Matt.

You really should ask them, they have Vectron and 185 (and more...), so more variety, and I could see a Lokomotion gameplay pack for Vorarlberg. I really can't see the Railion BR 185.2 on a modern route, as the era of Vorarlberg is wrong for Railion ... DB/Railion 185.2 are overused, especially, if they are wrong era
Exactly. The same is true for a lot of modern 3-phase AC locos. The 185s we have in game are simplified in that regard to. There are various variations with different equipment added to the cab as needed. Now that I think about it, the same is true for a lot of the older rolling stock es well. For example: The PRESS 155s have the wrong (modernised cab). At the least the one PRESS 155 I saw in person has the older cab configuration without LZB functionality. The 110s we have in game are very much outliers with their cab. The majority never received LZB and the corresponding cab changes.
With the amount of operators running Vectron's you'll be releasing livery packs for the next 15 years :p
Just so I understand it, the Vectron we have in TSW does not have any passenger controls at all? So we can basically scrap the idea of making Flixtrain, CD or whatever other passenger Vectron liveries and slam them on Doppeldecker trains or Intercity cars? RIP
haven't really thought about that, but idk if a door control system is even built in so you can do it with TAB, despite the in-cab controls missing (I don't think I saw them in the little preview they gave us in the Vorarlberg stream) if there is however then I'm sorry for confusion and happy if it is there
